What im stuck on though, is what sauce to make for the duck. I don't want to do orange sauce or red wine sauce. I am looking for something thick and dark.

>redpill me on cooking fish?
Yesterday I fried my first tuna filet, it was really good, except that it was slightly pink in the middle. Is this okay when dealing with fish filets?
I usually buy frozen fish like tilapia and cod (yes I know I'm a poor collegefag), and I just can't get it right. I tend to overcook it in the oven, and I end up with rubbery and tasteless fish, I usually cook it for less than 15 minutes, yet it somehow always fucks up.
Earlier this week I tried using a new crockpot that I got, cooked it for about 40 minutes, and the fish near the top was okay, but the ones near the bottom were incredibly rubbery and would not break apart no matter what.
>Help and recipes greatly appreciated.

There's no way in hell, or even in Finland, that they're serving you those burnt potatoes.

They were good, its common to fry surplus potatoes and they were seasoned with barbaque spice.

So i'm almost out of the bourbon i purchased a while back. What other booze is good for having a sip on evenings, other than scotch, because that's a given. Is rye any good? Pic relatively related
7 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>Is rye any good?
That depends on personal preference. Some people like the taste, some people don't. If you've had Canadian whisky you'll get an idea of what you're looking at with rye whiskey, since it's usually made of a relatively high percentage of rye.

Rye has had kind of a renaissance in the last 15 years or so. This is due to its historical significance and that its flavor profile works pretty well in cocktails. I'd rather drink an old fashioned or Manhattan with rye than bourbon.

However, the amount of what would be considered "sipping grade" rye whiskey on the market is still pretty small compared to bourbon. High end bourbon is definitely well established these days but its market is dwarfed by the number of single malt Scotch whiskies out there.
>>
I like gin tonics, so... gin. Bourbon is good for mixing, but I don't think it's worth drinking straight. There's scotch for that. Canadian rye is warming but rough, at the very least, and rye and ginger is enjoyable enough. Don't know about other ryes.
>>
>>7350647 is Bulleit's rye any good? I've hade their bourbon which was ok. I think bulleit's rye is the most accesible rye here in sweden.
