What is the best cereal, and why is it frosted mini wheats?
Why do they call them mini wheats? Not only are they not mini, but they are actually way too big.
MOM brand mini spooners is better and cheaper
So this is the best 8 dollar cook book I've ever owned. Great fast recipes that you can make on a budget or if you just don't want to leave the house. Stories ranging from Knee slapping hilarious or tragic storys about the penal system failing these people
Just made a bowl of orange porkies (Pork rinds coated in a sauce made of Orange Kool Aid served on ramen and or rice) and it was fucking awesome if extremely sour. might mod it with less Kool Aid or the premixed concentrate.
any one else have interesting cook books or more "Prison" style recipes?
>>7600391
My dad used to make "Jailhouse noodles" from when he was in prison.
It was ramen, doritos, and pretty much anything else he could find...
It wasn't bad, but it wasn't really that good either.

I've found Ive got to modify the recipes but there are some honest winners. Ramen Burritos are ingenious on hiking/camping trips.
But the fact that these people have figured out ways to match food on the outside is speaks to me about the human spirit. "keep it fresh"Ramen is the best recipe though.

how about some recipes from it then?
Would like to heat about 40 gallons of various liquids to around 172 degrees in a reasonable (<4 hours) amount of time.
>>7600326
that's a lot... not possible in a "standard" kitchen, you need professional tools here like a big burner
>>7600326
You need about 38000 kJ to heat that much water to 172F or about 11 kWh assuming no losses. You would need an induction stove capable of putting out at least 2750W. So yeah depending on induction stove it seems possible to achieve this under 4 hours.
Can we get some good food stories. Restaurant, customer service, home cooking. Anything goes.
This past thanksgiving I go to a buddies for dinner, he's a chef. And bought a deep fryer.
While he's inside working sides, I'm heating the oil outside. When its ready I take the turkey out of the container and see almost all of the skin missing!
He put it in the stock pot!
I almost left after dropping the turkey in the fryer, but I'm not that rude.
What a charred mess! All I wanted was that crispy fried turkey skin
Do you mean he's a cook at a restaurant?
I almost called your story a pile of shit, but I'm not that rude.
What a boring post! All I wanted were some quality threads.
I need advice!!!! Going to a gay dinner party tomorrow and I need to make a dessert. What should I bring???

Is cuckolding the thinking man's fetish?
It literally always starts with pancakes.
>prep everything just fine
>heat pan, add oil, add batter
>pancake sticks to the pan
>what
>spend %250 of the pancakes recommended cooking time gently scraping underneath to keep it intact
>that works maybe once.
>entire pancake is undercooked on the other side.
>whatComment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Its annoying, but all I know is
>Don't mix too much
>Pan must be nonstick and NOT scratched up by metal utensils, if you need to get a new pan
>Use peanut oil. Just do it
>Don't fuck up
Fucking teflon, nigger. How does it work?

San Francisco Sourdough
what's your pasta sauce recipe, /ck/
mine's pretty lazy but i tend to like the results
>can of crushed tomatos
>three tablespoons tomato paste
>third of an onion
>4-5 cloves of garlic
>salt
>black pepper
>oregano
>basil
>red pepper flakes (i like it a tiny bit spicy)
>teaspoon of sugar
>splash of red wine
i just fry the onions in olive oil until tender and then throw everything else together and let it simmer until whenever
i want a big /ck/ thread of all the little things we do in our own pasta sauces in hopes of archiving it someday as an alternative for newfags strolling by and actually wasting time with kenji lopez-alt's autism recipe
uggghh sugar????
Small batch
8 tomatoes, chopped
Carrot, minced
Onion, minced
Celery, minced
5 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and Pepper to taste
(reduce until thick, veggies completely immersed)
Fresh basil, torn (never take a blade to basil)
(simmer 5 additional minutes)
Serve
No oregano. Frankly, to me, oregano belongs in pizza sauce, not pasta sauce. Everyone has their own preference though, no right answer.

Trust me I ate it my whole life without sugar. It needs sugar.
Also NO parsely NO onion NO pepper
Crushed garlic, bay leaf, *fresh* basil and pecorino romano.
My roommate's gf left this behind. What can I cook with this? Add it to some sort of meat dish?

Do you like quesadillas? How often do you make them?
>>7599804
I find burritos to be a much more convenient shape to eat + no cheese leaking out the sides.
>>7599804
I usedta make quesadillas with one of those red, Target-tier appliances. The last time was about two years ago. The cheese bubbled over and out all over the place. I threw the whole thing away, appliance and all.
