Wondering what the fastest way to get from Marquette Michigan to Marquette Kansas is besides flying. Would rather not drive 16 hours but there don't appear to be any trains near either city.

I'd skip uni if you think that's a likely price to study in Europe as a foreign student

Hey travelers. Thinking about RVing in Utah.
What are some things I should look out for when renting RV? Anyone have any experince with RVing or renting RVs?
I went to Moab, Utah three years ago. I stayed at a hotel on the main road there, and had a great time. Want to go again, but instead want to go from drive the RV park to park and well, park the rv, and enjoy the park.
what time of year?

I went in the month of July to moab, but I'm thinking of doing it in April.
I've looked at Cruise America, but they get terrible reviews. They don't have unlimited miles, and it costs $3.50 an hour to run the generator.
Hey guys, I intend to go do Chinese New year in Chinatown. How to do it right? There appears to be two festivals, a firecracker and cultural festival on Feb 8th and a parade on Feb 14th.
Has anybody ever gone to one of their festivals? Is one better than the other? Advice for a first timer? Travel advice, vendor advice, anything you can offer. I'm not Chinese but can speak a little. Will there be restaurants open? Best spots to visit? I intend to travel from eastern Pennsylvania.
Hi all,
I have a decent career but I want to take a 9 week break to teach english in china and get it out of my system (my company will allow this long max.). I am prepared to volunteer but it seems that these programs are either restricted to summers or in crappy locations with accommodation that isn't good for a bachelor like home stay or need to pay for bad home cooked meals etc.
Should I just get a normal one year contract and then break it after 9 weeks I'm ready via midnight run or something ? What are the consequences of this ? Could I be blacklisted...

I should also add the reason I wouldn't want to do a summer is that they normally involve being isolated in a camp or teaching weekends and nights......also I want to have the "real experience" of teaching in a classroom and not tutor some kids after class

Or would it be possible to just sign a contract and give one month notice...I heard they have to give a letter of release
>>1065016
>What are the consequences of this ?
Probably none other than being an asshole
I'm in Western Mass. for school, and am really interested in urbex/cool outdoors spots out there. Does anyone know of anything really cool out there?

Belchertown State School. Went there with my cousin.
I got a job recently and I'm going to have to move. They have many offices and are letting me have a top / bottom 3. They can guarantee I won't have any of my bottom 3, but my top 3 are merely hopefuls. However I really don't know much about these places that I have options for. Maybe I can get some insight from this pace. Here are the locations I have options for:
Anchorage, Alaska
Little Rock, Arkansas
Sacramento, California
Atlanta, Georgia
Springfield, Illinois
Boston, Massachusetts
Detroit, Michigan
St. Paul, Minnesota
Santa...

Top 3 would be difficult but I can give you some you absolutely should not probably take (then again I don't know your interests so I'm taking a shot in the dark)
>Madison, WI
Wisconsin in general is just hell
>Charleston, WV
I actually kinda like WV in a weird way but it is also hell on earth too.
>Nashville, TN
Just a shit city IMO, really gritty.
>Olympia,WA
Unless you really want to be close to Seattle, most parts in WA...

You should give us some more info about you. Things like what climate you prefer; what hobbies you have, whether you're into nightlife or professional sports, or hunting moose... What sort of scenery or activities you're into as the life in Boston, Atlanta and St Paul is going to be much different from life in the smaller towns.

>Wisconsin in general is just hell
Funny you say that, my buddy who did an internship there said the same thing.

>I would consider SC if it was Charleston, I really like that city, otherwise as a former North Carolinian I can tell you SC sucks
Honestly picking...

Hey /trv/ luckily I might have the chance to spend the summer with true Navajo natives. My father is a member of the tribe, so I think they'll be accepting of me. Is there anything I need to know about the deserts of Arizona/ weather/ equipment I'd need to work and explore at the same time/ Mexican drug trafficking in the Texan/Mexico region. Also, if they accept me as a member of the tribe, I might be able to live with them as my father had the chance to live among them after he became member. Thanks for the replies in advance if I forget about this post.

You are not from the region? Drink a lot of water. No, more than what you are thinking. Summer in Arizona is dangerously hot and dry.
Also you are 6'2" and 14? You are going to stick out your whole life, best start getting used to it.

Why are you posting on 4chan at 14? You don't need advice at 14 just fucking enjoy your childhood jesus
.
This troll thread seems like it would be more appropriate to be in /int/ than /trv/.

My buddy who I interned with is going to show me around India in a few months. To get a more authentic experience I was considering a "let the chips fall where they may" attitude towards my bowel movements. Good idea? y/n
While you're there, check out Adlabs Imagica outside Mumbai. It's the only non-dirty-looking amusement park in India and has the best set of roller coasters in the country.
At the local Indian restaurant where I live, they have a statue of Shiva right next to the buffet. I don't know if you're caught up on your Hindu gods, but Shiva is known as "The Destroyer."
They keep the statue of Shiva next to the food as a warning for what Shiva is going to do to your asshole after eating Indian food.
Honestly OP, i have no idea what you mean.

Is there a proper source where I can find statistics on air transportation?
FAA website
Airbus annual market report
Boeing annual market report
ICAO website
NTSB white papers and aircraft investigation reports
European aviation authority
NASA archives
CAA -uk's aviation authority body-
Have fun.
Going to Antarctica in a few weeks on a cruise, has anyone ever been? Anything that I need to bring that I might not think about? I have plenty of camera equipment, polarizing filters, GoPro, etc. Any tips, gear suggestions, or things that I must try and see?

Just one request: once you come back, create a thread on /trv/ and post pictures.
>>1064838
ditto, it's on my bucketlist but too much organisation necessary
How much are you paying? I'd go if it wasn't so expensive.
Hello folks, I'm planning the trip of a lifetime for myself and my partner (the trip of our lifetime, I'm sure many of you seasoned travelers won't be phased by this) and would love suggestions on editing the route, or where I need to visit, places good to stay at etc just any general tips for this specific journey.
We live in the UK and are going to get a ferry the the netherlands, spend a few days in amsterdam and work our way up to denmark, spend some time there, go up to sweden, then finland, then russia (st petersburg) then backtrack to go to norway,...

Bumpty bump
What sort of advice are you looking for though? Anything specific?
It seems like a decent enough route. Research getting visas for Russia before going, you can't just show up at the border. Faroe Islands are interesting but might be too expensive for this trip, I suggest spending that money in Iceland instead. Unless you specifically want to see them, there's really nothing in particular that is great about the Faroes, they're more of a novelty location. Your budget is good for this trip, even though these are some of the worlds most expensive countries,...
