I know he has that one guy who professes that he's an absolutely astounding writer, though I disagree. But even if that is true, he isn't a very good qm.
Disappearing for months on end, and when a thread is up, vanishing for several days without teliing the players, leaving them to bump in hope that he'll come back.
That's why his player retention sucks. He's the flakiest QM we have, even moreso than Sloth.

The plan I had originally was to give the PC a bit of a history- ex-cult member and such flying pirates to avoid being killed by former comrades and the galactic authorities, to earn enough b its to start a new anonymous life.
Absolutely intending to do a character creation for the gender and looks and such, but I am wondering if applying too much backstory to the poner here for players. I'm not really giving anything more than ex-cultist and soldier, but would this feel like having a railway tie up the ass to start?

There's several central flaws with how the board is set up that haven't been rectified. Additionally, if all quests are forced onto it then it also completely ignores how quests get players at all. That hasn't been confirmed yet.
