I actually have an idea for aDead Space-ish quest.
The T.A.C.T.I.C.O.O.L. (Terribly Advanced Corps Trained for Integrated Operation Over Obstacles Laid) got a report of a ship infested with the [__]-virus, which quite literally kills space. If the [__]-mutants manage to get enough tech, they will produce a big crunch.
It'd be team-oriented puzzle solving with a cusom team (For now I am thinking in that players get to choose a race and class, and up to three members) and having to
A) Destroy all mutants
B) Keep the team together.
The setting itself would be goofy-ish, but the characters would take what they see seriously so a dead team mate (You can get up to three replacements before game over) would freak them out and require the Serjant to do something to calm them down.

Guys, we need to talk.
I run the CYOA's I run because I enjoy entertaining you guys. I like the idea of being able to tell a story and produce an emotional response largely via pictures, versus writing everything out. But producing content for hours every night needs to have a payoff. I don't expect every single picture to make you laugh, or cry, or scream at your computer. But what I do expect is to at least enjoy what I do enough to carry me along the way.
I'm sad to say that that is no longer the case.
That's why I'm putting Friendship is Tragic on hiatus until the Holiday (hurrdurr) season rolls back around again.
I'm sorry to disappoint those of you that enjoy FiT, but let me try and explain my reasons for this.
As you know, I'm running 3 CYOA's right now: FiT, Tinepone, and Paper Pone. I realize now that this was a mistake, and that I bit off more than I could chew. However, I started both Tinepone and FiT as PQ-style quests that used sprites. They might not be much quicker to work with, but they're less challenging than HD pics because of the small amount of actual work they require. I figured that I could handle 2, or even 3 pixel quests.
But then both FiT and Tinepone grew. Not only did they come to possess the same more detailed artstyle I've been trying to >git gud at for a couple of months now, but they also changed in their own unique ways that I never expected. FiT, for instance, was never meant to be a holiday-themed CYOA. That's just something that happened during the character creation stage (Which occurred in December, I think.) and I didn't think that FiT would take TOO long, so I went with it because that's what my players decided on. And from there, FiT blossomed from an idea into its own quest.

Tinepone on the other hand was never meant to be strictly MY game. The idea actually came from Wolvan, who made a few pics here and I thought they were cute enough to warrant a couple of follow-ups. So many people liked the concept that I left it as open-ended as Wolvan did, offering for other people to take over. This was during Vamp's heyday, when the idea of multi-QM CYOA's was new and exciting and Vamp itself had about 4 QM's. I expected Tinepone to be the same way. Again, I was wrong; Tinepone quickly became strictly about constructing little machines, which I imagine scared off whatever potential QM's might have been interested in trying it out. It's certainly intimidated me more than a few times.
So, what I thought would be a quick side-quest I'd run alongside Threshold and a fun little idea that the board could toss around soon turned into 3 full CYOA's, which then became even MORE arduous when the artstyle update was requested and I, trying to be accommodating, said "Okay." and went along with that. I was getting worn down running a game I never expected and a game I never really wanted. I managed to finish Threshold, which made me think I could tough it out and finish these games as well, but with every day that passes I find myself enjoying these games that you guys love so much less and less, and I'm starting to worry that it'll begin to negatively affect their quality, if it hasn't done so already.

The only thing I can think of now is to stop one or even both games. But I can't in good conscience do that. I don't want you guys to pay for my mistakes. So, until I can come up with a better way to resolve this, I'm shelving what I think is my least popular game, in the hopes that the reduced burden on me will let me start finding joy in running it again. This will leave me alternating Tinepone and Paper Pone, which should allow me to finish Tinepone sooner and maybe then pick FiT back up if there's more demand for it to return than I expect for there to be. I guess we'll see.

Not to take the wind out of your sails, but I've been the main QM for Vamp since the second thread.
I can't think of any time other than the first thread in October where Vamp had more than two active QMs. And among those pairs, I've always had far more posts. I can't recall if it was Wolvan or Igor when Tinypone started.
Point is, the multi-QM thing never really lasts very long.
