I really like anything with cherries in them- my buddy Cherry Cobbler makes some SUPER tasty dishes! I've woken up from more than a few repairing benders with a fresh chimi-cherry-changa by my workstation- he's a real sweetheart. Best friend I have.

Shuvelle: I remember being frustrated not being able to do more for Rocky while I was still a shovel, somehow. That moment felt specially bad because, well, I don't want to brag, but I think I would have been able to take the hit. I'm happy being Rocky's shield if that makes her happy... except she complains a lot. Also she still has a tiny scar in her shoulder, but it's covered by fur, and Taba took care of most of it!
Beli: I've learned a lot about how to adapt in dangerous situations, and along with the team, we talked and decided to stick together for some time. Turns out none of us really had many friends before, so we're going to work together until we sort our lives out. I'm ashamed to say I'm still a really weak pony, but they're helping me fix that!

Anyway, for those of you who did read Mendacity, I've thought long and hard over my bitchdom over the past few days and I've come to a decision. Mendacity returns on tuesday.
That said, I think a lot of my recent hesitation came from the art side of things, so would you as players be offended if some posts went up without art? I would still try to draw as often as possible but if I was really gnashing my teeth over something, I could consider skipping it. Of course I would not skip any scenes where a drawing could have even the slightest story significance.
That said, I billed it as an art quest, so if you want what was promised then I'll try my best to deliver it.

You're artwork doesn't really have to be that great in a CYOA at all actually. To tell the truth, when I started 11-54 I had hoped that pushing myself to run a quest with art would force me to get better. This is also why there is a picture with every single post. Honestly, the only way to get better, oddly enough is to just do it, and as much as I complain about ho bad my own art is, it has improved over the course of my first quest. So honestly if you believe that your art is good enough for a quest just remember that you have the entire duration of a quest to improve that.
While I'm at it. Craft, it's fine if you don't want to put a picture on every post. I already said why I'm doing it, and there are lots of times where the picture doesn't really add to the quest in almost every CYOA which is what there are a lot of art quests that will skip the visuals for a few posts where it isn't necessary.
In fact, I think there was a lengthy discussion about when images are necessary and not on the CYOA thread a month or two back.

If it's possible, are you gonna have each character have different text speeds? Game of Thrones and pretty ponies mix together as well as oysters and gummy bears.
I was suggesting more like a fun DnD-style campaign. Something were his jokes, characters and art can shine through, but with a more grounded tone than goofy comedies. You need some degree of seriousness to create tension and drama.
So far, H&B guy has tried both ends of the spectrum. He's gone full serious and full slapstick, but I personally think he'd do better by taking the middle ground with a tone similar to that of the show.

So I read over the quest and so far it's pretty lackluster. The MC is pretty boring since they seem to be going for the "She's what you want her to be!" angle instead of trying to come up with an actual character. This is hidden beneath an insubstantial snarky attitude that doesn't at all support the character on its own. Nothing particularly interesting has happened either.
There's also a large amount of meta posting in the thread.
Overall a resounding 'meh'.
