What is a minimalist poorman woodworking kit?

Hand saw, claw hammer, second hand corded drill, cheap set of drill bits, chisel, a couple screw drivers, tape measure, set square, pencil, sand paper, paint brush.

That's pretty much all you need.

A Dremel is an expensive tool that has a few niche uses that it's great for, but is marketed to rich home owners with no diy experience as a universal solution to their problems.

2 MB,
I'm going to be building a 20ft by 30ft rancher this summer to be a bachelor pad and I'm thinking about use ICF for the walls.

Is the saving on heating worth the initial costs? I also hear doing electrical in it is easy. Also how sound proof is it?

Anyone have any experience with this? It's hard to find unbiased views on the stuff.

That or standard block. Doing siding on some spray on finish on the exterior. I think the raw look in the inside would be awesome, especially for a bachelor pad.

As far as heating, it will take some years to recoup the initial ROI. Just like buying an L.E.D light bulb.

You could probably go standard cinder with poured concrete.

Good luck bro

knew a man and woman that built a home with it, its good for a "modern home", meaning if you want a passive heating/cooling system, yes its worth it. if you know how to use a wood burning fireplace/stove and/or thermostat properly, i would say no.

where are you building this place?
>>
>>983246
Building on west coast, southern Canada, so a heat exchange would be what I would put in it. Hopefully that would be enough.

tbf, those are the $1 specials - they aint 'converting' anything, they just changing the cable wiring from PS" USB - but will actually work with some things, surprisingly.

more expensive ($10 - $15) - Belkin etc. - will actually convert signal format. Check AMZ reviews or whatever b4 buying, but /diy/ is a bit stoopid at this price, easier buyfagging.

Because in 10 years when problems do arise, the homeowner forgets the contractor name, or the contractor has changed company names and can no longer be held liable for the incorrect installation.

What really drives me nuts is the clutter. If you're going to do dangerous shenanigans at least try to minimize the risk and be prepared for the worst possible scenario.

When I see these things the first thing I wonder is "why did they try to do it all electric?"
They could get something way more practical if they used gas engines for the main source of lift, and just used the electric fans for controlling the thing (pic related)

Unnecessary. As light as this platform is, kinesthetic control using the rider's own sense of balance by weight-shift is sufficient. They did this shit 60 years ago with gas engines only.

I wouldn't say that hovering fixed-wing aircrafts are necessarily representative of all hovering aircraft.

I think that because there is proportionally less payload for the craft to carry, and that we don't have an unusual shape, we wouldn't see the massive fuel dump characteristic of harrier jets.

well, I'm trying to come up with a better polishing pad for removing scratches from a DVD >>976430

so far I made one with a small sponge mounted with cardboard onto a dremel mandrel, and another with just two felt pads glued together (on a mandrel)

the problem I'm having is that I can't put enough pressure on the pads to make a different without the screw mandrel coming loose from the felt

I want to keep it to around that same size and it would need to fit into a dremel...
