I'm trying to make a simple tDCS but can't find all the materials online
Will something simple as this work? I will put wet sponges on the end to avoid burning my scalp
Do it with 1000 volts and 100 amps If you want to get super smart.
yeah, it'll work, but it's not super-duper safe. suppose you had scratches in the skin below the electrodes; that would increase the current by many times compared with unbroken skin.
you wanna have, at minimum, a fixed resistor in series to limit current. or better yet, use a constant-current generator so you have a very well controlled maximum current flow.

don't do it, i looked into this a few weeks ago and it is not worth it.
It speeds up your reaction time a little but your fine motor skills diminishes.
Hey /diy I found a bag that says 96% sulfur powder in my garage. I have no idea what to do with it. Any suggestions?
>>977406
Put it down your vents, be careful it's very flammable
>>977406
make gunpowder. You now need potassium nitrate (saltpeter) and charcoal.
I think it is used to kill insects on plants. I don't recall it being toxic or flammable by itself.
>>977406
give it to plants that have yellowing leaves
I need a /diy/ concrete recipe, please.
I know I need sand, gravel, and cement... but how do I make cement?
I've heard of some recipes that are basically just powdered rock with a certain kind of fluid that activates it. What about those methods?
If I ever start building my own home, knowing how to make my own concrete will save me money and ensure higher quality mortar for rock walls, bricks, foundations, driveways, etc.
Please help, I can't easily find much info on the cement or activators that bind it all together.
And plus,...

Have you thought about the amount infrastructure you'd need to make foundation or driveway quantities?
>>978964
portland cement is mostly limestone and clay, baked in a kiln and then ground into a fine powder.
>knowing how to make my own CONCRETE will save me money
this is correct. but trying to make your own CEMENT is insanity.
We're all conditioned to avoid products that look like snake oil. The 'as seen on TV' look is like neon on a frog or blue hair on a woman - it's nature's way of warning us of the inherent danger.
But the exceptions exist for every rule... post stuff you swear by, that also looks like it should be in the dollar bin at Walmart. Pic most certainly related: PB Blaster.
worst packaging ever
it doesn't even say the name of the product anywhere on the can
Ever read any of the stuff written on Dr. Bronners liquid soap? Ravings of a madman. But it's some damn fine soap.

uhh dead center "blaster" then right next to that in giant font "PB"
Months ago, the reforming/building of my house was completed, and it received lots of Ethernet cables inside the walls. But, only one outhelet is working (pic related, all of them are like the one I'm pointing at). The man who was installing these CAT-6 cables was able to flee from my house before finishing the job, and then, I have no proper cables to use. I need your help to discover what is the problem with them, and how to solve.
More information on the next posts...
..so, this is the router I'm using for the cables. I used 2 routers, the result was the same. I plugged them in it's back, went to the outhelet, and used a patch cable to plug my netbook. Then, I pinged Google, and got no connection. This is why I know they are not working...
Are there any lights on the eithernet port on your pc on when you plug it in?

I remember this post. Good job on a pic this time OP. Gonna need more though.
Anyone here a drone expert or know any good articles on building your own drone (quad copter), I want to get to know the basics first then understand how to build one from products that I can already buy.

this is you, isn't it?

What a great idea!
How fast could you get a pedal-powered vehicle up to? I want to make a pedal powered car that can go 40, or at least 35.
I was also thinking of using a car battery that could be charged via pedaling to run the thing. My intention is to make a street-legal car, which would involve lights and signals hooked up to said battery.
>>976601
You can make it go 200 if you are strong enough
Good luck getting it insured.
I can say with confidence it's more than likely it won't work as you intend.
Something like this would never be street legal, depending on where you are of course, some third world shit holes aren't so fussy but if you're in say Europe or the US it wouldn't meet NCAP or the US equivalent of minimum road worthy safety standards. And you can't compare it to a bicycle because, well it's not. So that idea is out the window too.
As for powering it, one person, driving that, pedal powered, turning an alternator on general terrain...

Hey guys. I want to dig a cave in the side of a hill big enough to put a seacan inside approx 40 feet long, 8 wide and 8 tall. Has anyone done this before? Any advice?
>>972392
Has anyone done this?
Possibly
Has anyone done this and lived to tell the tale?
No.
You put a shipping container underground and it implodes. That's /diy/ 101.
>>972393
It shouldn't be too hard to reinforce the sides and top. It wouldn't be bearing all the weight. It's mostly so the contents are safe from water and such.
>>972392
might be worth looking into how subway tunnels are done, i remember some of the things they would do with poor soil is just dig a trench, build the tunnel and walls and then put dirt over it.
I have a problem. I work night shifts, and I have noisy roommates that I can't get them to shut up. I also have paper-thin walls that I'm not allowed to modify. And earplugs are a shit. So I need to soundproof just my bed area. I've come up with three ideas so far:
>Build a pvc pipe frame to lay down a soundproof curtain over a few cubic feet of breathing room over my head
>Pros: cheapest option
>cons: looks weird, shuffling around in my bed might throw the curtain...

Get acoustic foam and make one of these:
http://www.whisperroom.com/
Earplugs are shit? How? They block like almost all noise. Buy some construction foam plugs, and learn how to put them in properly (twist them so theyre thin, slide them in).
You're over complicating this if you don't just use ear plugs.
Use a sound maker. I use Relaxation sound app with Bluetooth speaker, some say a fan is good enough but it is cold here. It take s a little to get used to but you can create a sound that works. It is the only way I have tried all the foam and barriers, none worked until I used sound.
Just moved into a place and found two axes and a hatchet worthy of sharpening up... Problem is the heads are super loose on the wood.
Is there a way to firm up the heads or should I buy / craft new handles?
>>979104
you could try, if you could get the heads off
how are they attached on top?
I'd shave/smooth down the shaft slightly till it sits solid, then glue and shim it in
if they're in really bad shape, it would be worth it to me to replace them
>>979104
While we're on the subject, how do I swell the wood back up on this knife the gf made?
The handle was epoxied to the tang but pulled away when the humidity dropped after winter
How would one make something like this?
I need it for...reasons.
Is there a way to make one of these without getting the parts specifically ordered in a factory?
you can probably find cheater pens on amazon or ebay, geez
go away underage faggot

There are none that are digital. This one how I imagine it would be able to store a lot more text
QTDDTOT General questions thread. Questions that don't deserve their own thread
anyone have tips for controlling stray litter from a litterbox? I've got one of those mats that's supposed to collect the litter, but a lot of times the littler goes off the side of it (it's fairly small) or the cat jumps well over the mat and litter goes everywhere. Messiest cat I've ever had
I was thinking of making it so that the cat has to walk on some kind of corrugated cardboard "platform" to get to the box (this would be similar to the kind you see in cat scratchers where it's a bunch of cardboard ends glued together)
would it be a waste to use these as monitors for my diversity FPV-receiver combo?
>>976684
I have budah domes for my cats. And mats that are supposed to clean their feet when they exit. Nothing fucking works. I'll find litter all the way across the house from the litter boxes. The litter grains get trapped in between their toes and they carry it until it gets untrapped. As far as I've been able to tell there's no way around this. Fucking cats are going to be fucking cats.
What's your setup /diy ?
10gal bayou
Custom stainless steel basket
Chugger pump

Hops growing in my backyard
4 corney kegs
>>966223
any hints at growing those hops?
>>966532
This, sounds kl as fuck, where can I learn?
Where did you get the equipment?
newish knifemaker here
I've made around 6 or 7 knives so far, but im starting to run out of ideas for new designs. Anyone got any suggestions of cool designs from like games and shit? Anything practical is fine by me, hell i might even be able to make spears and shit. Just keep in mind i'm restricted to a 48" * 1.5" * .156" plate.
Pic related is the knife I'm working on now
>>964331
video game designs are usually the opposite of practical
>>964339
There are a few practical game weapon designs out there. This is one im planning on eventually. Also, practicality isn't too big of a concern for me, as long as the design isnt either insane or so thin at point that it would shatter instantly
Wood working general.
Didnt find a wood working thread in the catalog. I'm very much a novice, but want to get better.
This is my most recent project, it's all put together with pocket holes and not as stable as I'd like. Waiting on supports to come in the mail that I'm going to strengthen it with.
I'm going to be doing actual joints for my next project, but I'm wondering if anyone can post links or opinions about what joints to use where, what are better for different scenarios, etc. I'd appreciate it.
I'm not much of a wood worker, but I think a back panel would hold your boards together. Like the cardboard panels on some tv stands. Just put the nails in every 3/4 foot.
>>976396
this
a back panel should make it sturdy as fuck.
