Is there anything productive to do with these? Certainly can't refill them but they seem completely sturdy and rather well made to be truly disposable. I have a small pile I've refused to toss of empty propane cylinders of the torch and camping flavor.

My first though was to chop the top off and use it as the internal wall of a can crucible but you can only make so many of those before you have a hoarding problem.

Refill them anyway?

You can refill the propane ones pretty easily.

I recently bought a wardrobe like the picture. Its antique and beat up quite a bit and I'd like to fix it up. Any suggestions on where I can get replacement parts/a new lock and key for the piece of furniture? I appreciate any advice.

Pic of the one you own would be helpful.

Google the key descriptive words for the parts you need. and see if there is any that matches what you require, then look for suppliers or the manufacture

brettunsvillage (search on google) is a good place to start. they deal with trunk parts and handles, and have a lot of new old stock parts as well.

When I plug my Milwaukee battery charger in at work, my boss' Makita radio goes to static. I've never had this problem when using a Milwaukee radio, and the Makita radio works fine with the Makita charger. So it looks like the switched mode power supply in the charger is causing rf noise that neither the radio or charger has adequate filtering to remove. I tried just moving the two away from each other, but there was no improvement in the sound, so it looks like the rf harmonics are traveling through the wires instead of just through the air. The two work fine when they're plugged into outlets on different circuits, but this isn't always possible. I was thinking that adding an rf choke into the power supply of the drill charger might fix this problem, or putting a large cap across the hot and neutral wires. I'm an electrician so I know how to safely work with electricity, but I don't know if this is going to work or if I'm gonna screw up my charger. Much thanks for any help.

I got this awesome root system from a job site a few weeks ago. Its been sitting for a while now cause I'm a little lost on what to do with it. Id love to keep it, but hard times have me living at home, so I can't feasibly base my master bedroom around it. I'll probably sell it to make a cool dollar. Possible ideas so far:

Clean, stain, lacquer. Sell as wall art.

Attempt to make a glass top coffee table.

Favorite idea so far, but maybe a lot more difficult. Find a way to run lights along the top and turn it into a sort of natural chandelier. Only concern is transferring power to the root without it looking like shit. Also, it may be like 40 pounds or so. Not sure if that's too heavy to hang.

tl;dr What do I do with this cool root system

It's like a 3/10 on the root system coolness scale for me. Could probably find better driftwood at a big lake.

I would probably just make a fire with it. You could turn it into the base for a lamp I guess.

Well that depends, do you want longevity, or maximum power?

Would you like a slow bike that gets you where you need to go, or a fire/explosion?
