The Meta is based around most build variety versus most build viability.

Melee is viable at essentially any soul level range because it's all even aside from weps, the problem is that magic builds have to dump a ton of points into things like attunement and usually require a much higher damage stat investment to get rolling because they have a limited number of attacks. This is especially problematic in DaS3/DaS2 because Pyro/Dark spells require you to go magic quality.

The exact point of meta pvp in das1 was defined as something approximating 2-3 soft capped stats and enough room to play around with some other stuff but not softcap it. It waffled around for a bit, started at 100, raised to 120, went back down, now it's at 125 and seems to have stuck there.

In DaS2 (>implying das2 even has a meta when SM is a thing) this wasn't viable, not because it introduced a new stat, but because of the absolutely brain dead system that ADP turned out to be, you had to invest in about 20 points of ADP regardless of your specific build so all builds were about 20 Soul levels higher. This combined with adjusted stat caps and people wanting a nice round number lead to the 150 meta. It was also encouraged by absolute shitters like Oroboro who needed the safety net but that's mostly irrelevant.

In DaS3, because ADP is gone and you're not required to invest in luck on every build, the meta should go back to 100 or 120, basically the meta for every other not retarded souls game.

Ds1 meta was 100 you nit.
Ds2 was literally as high as you could get because of soul memory
Ds3 is new, you mostly find people around 80-120 because it's harder to soul farm and the main PvP area isn't that far into the game but not early enough to everyone go back to it.

I really wish they added the dks2 thing that told you what places were PvP hotspots, where you would likely get invaded etc.

I thought she was fine at first, but then I realized she really is too easy for casuals.

My original defense was that you should be able to burst her down before she can successfully do her immobilizing freeze combo into guaranteed headshot, something that I've done many many times, but then I found out that the bitch has fucking base 250HP.

It's really absurd that she has that extra health. It's really too easy, that extra 50HP over a bunch of classes means it's that much harder to kill her in one fell swoop. Meanwhile, her combo is the equivalent of W+M1 Pyro's in TF2, just flailing in your direction and not having to be super accurate.

I played a bunch of her, it really is super easy, and honestly I think she'd be balanced if they just removed the right-click from her gun. Having the freeze, ice wall, stasis, and ult, are more than enough to be credit to team.

It's fun and I'm having fun playing it, and it's actually has a fair price model to it.

It rips a lot of ideas from TF2, and that's not a bad thing. If you're going to take ideas, take from the best. The variety of characters make it a lot of fun, and it feels more like the arena shooters of old rather than a CoD type of thing.

Only one character in the game is basically "CoD", and I personally find him fairly boring, but he has some skills that make him a bit different.
