I thought she was fine at first, but then I realized she really is too easy for casuals.
My original defense was that you should be able to burst her down before she can successfully do her immobilizing freeze combo into guaranteed headshot, something that I've done many many times, but then I found out that the bitch has fucking base 250HP.
It's really absurd that she has that extra health. It's really too easy, that extra 50HP over a bunch of classes means it's that much harder to kill her in one fell swoop. Meanwhile, her combo is the equivalent of W+M1 Pyro's in TF2, just flailing in your direction and not having to be super accurate.
I played a bunch of her, it really is super easy, and honestly I think she'd be balanced if they just removed the right-click from her gun. Having the freeze, ice wall, stasis, and ult, are more than enough to be credit to team.

What I find strange about Mei is that for a character that seems to have been almost universally received pretty well (With the exception of China), I've barely actually seen anyone using her. I've been spending a fair bit of time on the open beta, but I've honestly only played about 3 or 4 games where someone else actually been playing as her. It was down to her appearance. Following her initial reveal last November, she was received overwhelmingly negatively by the majority of the Chinese Blizzdrones, since they were apparently upset that their only rep in the game looked to them as being, in their words, "just a fat white woman". Blizzard's Chinese PR guy had to try and calm them down by issuing a statement by saying that it was justified in that Mei's character designer is ethnic Chinese and that "many factors had been taken into account with her design", which I think probably worked a little, but she's still disliked pretty ardently there.

Blizzard played it extremely safe with D.Va and Mei. Neither looks Asian at all. Some Blizzard supporters say it's because Blizzard's adopted a Disney/Pixar style aesthetic and that's just how Asians look.
But that excuse kind of falls apart when you look at the other ethnicities in the game. Lucio obviously looks Brazilian, Hanzo is blatant an Asian (Japanese) man, Mercy looks like a German white woman, Pharah looks like she comes from Egypt, Symmetra blatantly has Indian facial features, etc...
And if you look at Disney and Pixar, Asian characters are distinctly Asian without being caricatures or stereotypes. Mulan? Big Hero Six? Etc...
Mei is simply an overly sanitized design meant to avoid offending the lucrative Chinese market, but their efforts to avoid that led to that conclusion.

How about a Mercy? A good Mercy should stay back out of close range anyway, and a good Mercy healing an ally getting frozen should be able to keep them alive. And if Mei decides to go for Mercy instead, then she'll leave herself open for the other guy to get free hits.

An alright way I've found to deal with Bastions is Roadhoggs chain. You can pull them out of turret form.
This still requires you get the drop on them. If he sees you first you're probably dead. Most sure way to dig out a Bastion is Junkrats ultimate. But having to use an ultimate for a single class is retarded.

Genji can rely on more than just reflect, retard. He's also fast and has a double jump, wall climb and a dashing strike. He'll have no problem getting behind him, and a Bastion not shooting makes him easier for everyone else to approach.

Bastion needs to be reworked in general. He stomps pubs, but is useless when people actually communicate. Even Tolbs is a better pick in actual games.
I have no idea how to fix it though. Maybe make him sorta like the Heavy? Turret mode is on treads, but really slow and the damage is cut. I'd just remove him from the game honestly. We already have the dwarf. Tolbs can give a MASSIVE 75 armor to his team, has a nearly infinite range turret that is easily replaceable, respectable DPS via a medium range projectile and a short range shotgun, and a really good ult that makes his turret godlike and massively increases his DPS.

The real problem with this game is how busted Widowmaker is. She's got insane damage, retarded rate of fire, and a fucking wallhack ult on a sniper for some stupid reason. Mei just needs to be normalized with the rest of the close range people. They went the reaper route of 250 HP which was a mistake because Reaper only has one move that makes him invulnerable and has to get up close to do anything.
She gets a really strong right click, an instant win condition 1v1 if you get tagged for more than one second. An invincible ice block that fucking heals her, and a wall to throw up to block people from shooting at her after the ice block. She's a better mcree if you can land right-clicks and funnily enough mcree is supposed to be her counter but with 250HP she can easily trade him if she survives the pocket-sand which does happen because rng if she tagged him for even a second before the sand hits.

Well it's not magic. Either they're being healed, or they have armor, but the icicle does 75 damage up close, a headshot will be double that at 150. I don't know how much damage people take from the blaster before they get frozen, but if it's more than 50 she will be able to freeze and get a headshot kill on all the 200 health heroes. if you do more than 100 damage with the freezer and then headshot she'll take down all the 250 health heroes.
