Recommend some actual "fun" headsets for multimedia entertainment! I'm quite happy with the Sennheiser PC363D (both in Surround sound and stereo, yea laugh all you want) and previously PC166.
I know peripheral with gaming labels has this awful stigma and always gets shit on but they do exist for a reason. (at least some of the stuff) e.g. gaming mice because they are highly configurable.
Do some of you sincerely play games with a monitor headset? You know the ones which are actually made for analysing audio with little soundstage and the most forward sound, also closed design which is counterproductive for locating sound.
The Audio Technica ATH-M50x and Sony MDR-7506 always get recommended here regulary for whatever reason. Basically they were THE anti-meme for "beats by dr.dre" and then became a meme itself. No seriously, why do some of you recommend monitor headsets? Not only is it counterproductive for gaming for the reasons stated above, it's also way too precise in its sound i.e. average audio sounds like shit (when you are playing older games, watching movies you hear mixing errors, listening to the average mp3 file, older songs or even flac files - no remastering them doesn't help)
