The way matchmaking works killed it for me. It seems pointless separating people based on weapon reinforcement. Fully reinforced estus flasks still break the lower level meta anyway.

Fantastic game. Though the world is not as interconnected as DS1, the level design on a level-by-level basis is at peak form. The Cathedral of the Deep, Lothric Castle, the Undead Settlement and Irithyll are some of the best level Fromsoft have ever designed.
It's also the most consistent Souls game- DS1 may have higher peaks, but DS3 maintains its greatness all the way through, and doesn't slump towards the end.

STR/MAG- how much damage you do with attacks. this is augmented by your enemy's defenses and your own weapon's MT
SKL- your chance to hit and dodge attacks
SPD- if your SPD is high enough, you'll be able to double-attack enemies.
LUK-affects accuracy and avoidability
DEF-affects defense against physical attacks
RES-affects defense against magical attacks
CON- unit's weight. this affects who they can rescue or be rescued by, and if your CON is too low, you will suffer SPD penalties while using heavier weapons.

Ever since Enigma became a thing, D2 became a casual's paradise.
If you want a real "hardcore" ARPG, just play PoE and spend hours rolling bricks that have no use unless you look up a guide.
I love Diablo II. But part of the reason I love it is that it isn't a time investment. You can play it casually, a few hours a day or even taking a month off and then coming back to it.
Diablo III just tried to cater to the same audience as WoW. Blizzard overlooked that people wanted to play a Diablo game to be something different from WoW. Instead, they made it WoW in real time.

Why is no one talking about the Forest? It's this incredibly atmospheric survival horror game with coop and basebuilding. Playing this the last couple of days with my mates has been the fucking best! It's way more polished than Rust, DayZ or Minecraft ever was. The UI is smooth as pussy. It's got a big island with animals, hostile cannibals with interesting AI, great lighting and optimization, huge ass caves like in the movie "The Descent" - and the nights are dark and terrifying as shit. Also, becoming cannibals ourselves and using enemy corpses as decoration is top kek

I haven't played it but Zuma Arcade has a lot of good content for it on Youtube I enjoy. Nice to see it getting consistent content updates, the full version is going to be packed with content.

The only things GTAV did better than IV were the radio stations and the inclusion of non-city terrain, but the former is subjective and the latter got fucked by putting all the not-city above the city with nothing in it.
