I don't really know anything about Bioshock, but I'm trying to unpleb myself in every medium. I'm reading all the great books, watching all the great films, and listening to all the great albums. I'm trying to keep an open mind about video games as art.
I hear about how these games are critically acclaimed, but I listened to the latest Easy Allies podcast and most of the guys weren't too keen on it. Jones said it was great, but that it falls apart at the end. Should I take a chance on this when it comes out?

Bioshock was fun. Bioshock 2 was a cash grab. Bioshock Infinite was lolsodeep, but if you ignored that and just played it, it too was pretty fun. In short: ignore hype and play for fun or get let down.
First one was decent. Others weren't. There really aren't any great games or albums, just go for what you like.

It's official. With this game I finally feel out of touch with the youth of the world.
I absolutely do not get the craze this is causing. I don't understand how it's fun, how it's addicting, and how it exploded overnight and everyone is talking about it.
I've grown up /v/. I don't know how to feel. Happy that I've grown past this sort of thing, or somber that I have left behind my youth completely.

I lioe the reload times! If I can't kill someone in 6 shots with a precision weapon I fucked up. It demands skill.
Play Resident Evil 4. Where Leon just stuffs all six bullets in at once. And the revolver has a faster load time than the sniper rifle.

Yesterday a Giant Wolf named "Screamflood" showed up and tore my fucking fisherdwarves to pieces. I love this game.

There's a bunch of utilities now that make the game much more enjoyable, and they all come in a convenient pack (Lazy Newb Pack).
No more days of staring at ASCII listening to the same DF track for hours and hours on a loop.
