Running a bit late edition.
For those unaware, I had /v/ pick my party in the original Final Fantasy remake on GBA.
Eventually I decided to do a playtrough with the mess of the party that I ended up with, to see if I could beat the game.
Last time we beat a wimpy Vampire, got a pretty gemstone, and found slab with an EVIL FORCE that prevent use from moving on.

Does this version of the game have the option to play with the original game's tiered magic system? I want to play the original but the interface was so slow and clunky that I eventually put it down, but the unique way of getting spells intrigues me.

I beat the game with 4 Fighters senpai, you can never die (max defense) and kill everything in one round (max offense).
Now then, I'm not quite sure where to go next.
The original game and the gba remake minus the new dungeons are doable with one character. I did it with a single black belt. You have to use the items that make your attacks stronger and give you haste for chaos and some bosses, but it's doable because your level advantage from getting all the exp is insane and you eventually hit so many fucking times a turn as a Master it sort of makes it a joke. Just saying. With careful play op has more than enough offense.
This part of the game is super open ended. It's pretty great.
