they fixed everything with ds2 but threw out good animations and good slow combat, then they reversed all the fixes in ds2 for ds3, made the combat even faster for some reason, and just added ds1 animations again
they are such obvious hacks making quick money off demons souls and ds1 popularity, but everyone was kinda alright with it because they were kinda fun games, but now that the heat is finally dying down, people will start to see that dark souls 1 was the last good game by miyahacki

If you are interested in the matter, look up the African Independence period. There were European and other mercs that basically made their own fiefdoms.
Could be an interesting set up for a game - like an FPS with control zones similar to San Andreas' gang turf but more in-depth.
You could be a merc hired by a government to suppress rebels and either work to support the government, work to support the rebels, fuck them both over, or some mix in between.
But I don't think the current vidya industry wants to delve into such complexity let alone the PC bullshit they'd get if you had white mercs in Africa and muh colonialism.
