I am fairly new to miniature collecting and painting. For a first time, I'd say it came out pretty well. I'm almost finished, but I would like to see what you think of it. Any constructive criticism would be appreciated as well as tips and tricks. I will be posting the back side shortly. I apologize for my shit photography skills.

Main settlement(unnamed)- lays on the western side of the river, heavily fortified with walls, keep and an underground lair.

Our main settlement has around 300 people in it

Northern town/fort
fortified with high walls, set near the old Dwarven imperial highway. They operate a few farms and have a population of around 50, not including the garrison of the fort(between 30 and 100 men, 30 during peacetime)

Our total population runs around 550 people with 55 vampires, the rest are our human thralls, free minded humans and various other servants.

We also control a vampiric Orc who has infiltrated the orcs of the far north and currently leads a warband 50 warriors strong.

We are currently closely allied to the elves, who are ruled by a militaristic leader, their current Archon is Narkos, a renowned mage and warrior

They rule a small town and have a small defense force consisting of rangers

We also have friendly relations with the Dwarves, but have had recent trade disputes due to their undercutting our metalcrafters in local markets.

The Dwarves control a massive Empire and command thousands of troops, their coffers also run deep, allowing them to field large numbers of mercenaries to exist their standing armies.

We have recently established relations with the City-states establishing a trade route by sea

Their relative strength is unknown, but we know they were badly beaten by the Dwarves in a recent war

our own military consists of 100 professional warriors

Specialist units

Light cavalry- 10 light cavalry men, trained in both the bow and the sword, wearing light mail or studded leather, good for hit and run attacks, also an excellent reconnaisance force

Commandos- Equipped with heavy mail, and whatever they want from our arsenals, they are also given a near unlimited budget for their missions, they have magic training and are given emberstones, to destroy themselves and any evidence of our involvement in covert operations. They are experts in stealth warfare, training local elements and diplomacy

We also operate a longboat and 2 captured and refurbished lizardmen warships.

I honestly prefer color-coded tokens to minis when playing rpgs, I just don't like how the minis never quite match the image I have for the character. With this in mind I have a set of 10 color-coded 3-d markers I use for PC and important NPCS, 10 color-coded 2-d markers, and 10 transparent numbered 2-d markers which I use to represent NPCs. I also like the fact they're 20mm, allowing me to use 3/4 inch squares rather than 1 inch so I can build larger environments. Also, I use arrow shaped pieces to represent which direction the characters are facing, which comes into play during stealth scenes and the like.

During combat I use a whiteboard to write down what each token stands for, and the players never seem to have a problem keeping track of what is what.

You don't really need adventure ideas for those types of games. Just making your characters, (which you should do together at the table) will give you ideas. The playbooks are designed to give you inspirational starting points and then you just improvise from there.

I'm thinking about running a setting where Good and Evil are perturbations in a universal field, similar to magnetism in objects (think perfect Good is all spins aligned entirely up, perfect Evil is all spins aligned entirely down). Any thoughts on further ideas for emergent mechanics/story hooks?

They should make the mechanic evergreen, it's pretty straightforward.
It'll come back in the next Ravnica set, that much for sure, but I really hope they use it sooner than that.

That's actually the exact card that got me thinking about that, Anon. I feel like the the Khans block would have been perfect for a hybrid revival because of all the tri-color support.

I've never played MTG before, I have however played YGO, which are two completely different games, I was wondering if Steam's Magic Duels is good or nah.

Has anyone played it?

It's pretty good.

You get only fraction of the cards there are but it is great for casual play and learning the game.
I recommend trying it out, but don't expect very competitive play.

Magic Duels is free to play.
That's the main reason I recommend it.
Even farming the boosters is laughable easy compared to most other f2p TCCGs on steam.

Is it possible to have a campaign with Invincible PCs?

You take a deep breath in through your nose, sit up, and stretch as you wake up. Then you open your eyes.

For the first time you can remember, you aren't waking up wrapped in Emi's tail. Which is both a good and a bad thing. Good because it means you can move without waking her, bad because Emi's tail is cozy.

You look one way and see Emi not too far from you, with her tail wrapped around Ilica and the devils. All of them are still sleeping peacefully.

One of these nights you'll have to stay awake and find out how she manages to snare people like that in her sleep. Catching one person without waking them is one thing, but when you heard the bells last night she had all of you in there...

Looking the other way, you see Derrick sitting against a tree. He seems to be thinking about something, as he idly blows fire on a stick that he's holding.

"Good morning" You say.
His eyes turn to you, and he stuffs the stick into the ground. "Good morning" He says. "Sleep well?"
You yawn, and shrug.
"Me too" He says. "Last night's been bugging me..."
