Lets be real, how many of you would go full on HFY in this setting?

I wouldn't. Petty revenge on things i don't like is dumb.

Instad, i would heavily rework the setting, make it something better and (hopefully) less retarded.

I would also add handsome muscular male monsters and female human adventurers because fuck you.
>>
I'm not that big of a fan of that series as it is, but putting the creatures (is that the right word?) in a different setting sounds like it would be cool.

I mean, don't several groups hate each other? I could see them forming tribes and countries. Now put them in a medieval Europe or Three Kingdoms China or Wild West America and I'd be game.

>Male Monsters
THANK YOU! If japanese werent so big on hideous male monsters, ridiculously human female monsters, and basically retarded humans this setting would be great.

Also if a demon is gonna make me her male partner I better end up pic related and a total badass, not just some idiot who's will is broken.

What do you like about the Age Of Sigmar setting?

What do you dislike?

I like the salt. I like the tears of WHFB players.
>>
I hate that it exists.

there is no like.

I like the concepts that went into it. I like the forces of order finally having a way to fight back. I love the backstory to the fyreslayers and how they are trying to find grimnir. I do like the Stormcast eternals, though I wish they were designed a little closer to the Blanche art. I like that the settin is vast and leaves room for all kinds of stories, from small tribes of normal dudes who have never seen a stormcast defending their homes up to giant clashes involving millions of combatants. I like that with every new book we learn a little more, and the fluff has been getting more interesting. Info wish they had a central guidebook like the 8th BRB containing that amount of background on the setting and the races in it, and I do wish we could learn more about the cultures but that will come in time.

I don't like how little fluff there was At the start. I don't like how they built up this new setting, then destroyed it all over again and pretty much took us to the endtimes of the mortal realms. absutely hate the archaon wank, his story should have ended when he died in the end times. Also don't like the time gap between the destruction of the old world and the current timeline, any races de ended from old world cultures should be unrecognizable at this point. Hate how the skavens are just another chaw faction instead of their own thing. Hate how they are creating new subfactions from existing ones, like the flesh eater courts, without actually adding anything new.

I do like AoS and I see it as totally separate from fantasy. I never sperged out when they ended fantasy because only the TT stopped being supported. The sourcebooks, BL novels and the existence of TW warhammer prove that the setting hasn't gone anywhere. Unless you're strictly TT, in which case, that's oretty unfortunate for you

How badly do you want to win? If you don't really care about winning, you're fine, and if you're playing Sisters as a main force you probably already know it's going to be an uphill battle.

If you really like your sisters, don't just give up because the meta is stacked against you. You provide variety to your game group, and fun for your friends.

This. It's a good thing that someone is around playing SoBs, they're far too expensive for people to start collecting now, if you're having fun playing them then just go with it, as long people in your shop are super tryhard you should be fine anyway.

Anon, the game is in such a terrible state right now - it doesnt even matter. The gap between the haves and the have-nots is wider than ever. A lot of the veterans have moved on to other games, and the playerbase is very different than it was 10 years ago.

Dont bother unless you have a good group to fall in with. I promise you it's a waste of time otherwise.

Hi,

For a campaign, I'm trying to rationalize how something that can live for a hundred+ years doesn't succumb to accidental fatalities long before they even reach 80 in a society without the means of making safety or fire equipment.

Is it just one of those things I should skim over as quickly as possible? I've seen some explanations that Elves have psychic powers, can see into the future, and can also talk to trees to know where forest fires or even light fires may be happening. But that sounds like retarded smurf garbage for idiots, and I don't want to introduce that to my campaign.

I don't see why they don't have that capability. Are they pre-neolithic in your setting?

I'm with you, OP. Also, another weird setting detail I've seen, how can something that lives for 80+ years not die well before 40 in a setting where everyone drinks water that's carried through lead pipes?

Me and some friends are starting up some "home made" Journeyman game when mk3 hits the shelves.
Mostly for shits and giggles, we all start with one of the new boxes and work ourselves from that point, escalating the games every week. Painting benefits from bonus points and so forth.

Question, how would you go about it. Take a box from a team you already own (as I own a lot.... ) and ad shit you have owned already when escalating. Or just fucking go for it, take something you think looks cool, and roll with it?
>>
Anyone got a link to the spoiler dump?
>>
>>47438783
do you want to play a new faction?
pick one. if not;
then get the box you already own a bunch of, i guess picking the one you like most if you have lots of armies.

but that's kinda stank.
if you have a fully painted army, and want bonus points for painting you can dedicate more time to the model or three and therefore get a better paint job than some player who is trying to paint thirty models in the same time.

but its a game. pick whatever you want.

"Homebrew" Edition

Tell us about how you GURPS. What's your favorite way to play/run? Gritty, cinematic, somewhere in between? What books do you use?

No experience but wanted to give a bump as reading the thread is helpful
I'm just starting out with Gurps and was planning to run a cyberpunk campaign

I'm reading through the rules now and am starting to pick out ones I don't want to bother with. I'm getting the feeling like combat is going to be a bit lethal and crunchy, which I think is good for the style
I might opt for a bit more of a cinematic approach though and ease some mechanics in as the group gets accustomed

Going easy is the way to start. Don't worry if you don't get all the rules right and don't feel bad if you set things to simple mode and don't break out optional rules.

Combat's pretty lethal. There are many attacks that can kill someone in one heat.

Cyberpunk's fun stuff. A bit complex though, with hacking and cybernetics rules.
>>
>>47428011
Yeah that's what I'm starting to notice as well

I'm reading the core rules still so I've yet to move onto UltraTech/Cyberpunk issue of Pyramid, but I'm hoping I can make hacking/netrunning work in combat. I know in Shadowrun Deckers are able to override security, shut down or control enemy turrets etc.
I just want to avoid one member needing to take a back seat during play. If that proves to be too difficult, I might just encourage them to pick up a couple firearms skills as well.
We'll see I guess

How do you teach an angel to be good?

like, lets say you created a being that looks like a human with wings and lots of holy magic.

How do you teach it that the mortal beings need to be looked out for, need help, need compassion and healing, and in some cases, need to be smoted if they refuse to walk a good path?

How do you teach the angel what is right, what is wrong, to use good judgment. How do you show it what it means to actually be good and to be loved for being good?

Egad! An artist that actually understands how breasts deform when a person is lying supine.
And her, admittedly limited, clothing is properly interacting with her breasts.

I'm honestly impressed.
Though how she found a comfortable position with wings is another matter.

I've played Fighters that were better faces then the parties bard.

I've played mortals that kicked WoD werewolves in the dick and walk away unscathed.

I've played barbarians that out magicked the Wizard BBEG thanks to wands, scrolls, staves and helpings of UMD.

I've ran from one end of the Tomb of Horrors to the other, with out failing a single skill check, after getting teleported stark naked to the beginning.

I've hand a few times.
