Though you continue to know nothing about it, it is not to say that Leigh and her companions are not doing important things all the way in Neir.
Awaiting an audience with Queen Eva, the members of Leigh's group have the pleasure of crossing paths with none other than prince Cargia and lord Welles. Word is they're fresh off a cousinly exhibition duel. Welles ended up emerging victorious, due to Cargia's continued refusal to use anything but axes.
After that conversation ends, Ansi is still swept up into following them around, as is a cautious Clint.
"Why're you following 'em around?" Clint asks, somewhat suspicious during a pause in ensuing idle conversation.
"Plenty of reason to be in good with the queen's son and nephew," Ansi whispers back.
Yulea, Yancy, and Leigh continue idly hanging around each other as well.
"Hey, didn't you say Zoe's sister had returned?" Yancy asks Leigh.
"Er, Monique... Monica, even. Yeah, princess Shea and the rest of them brought her back to Rakche." Leigh remarks, remembering earlier expositions. "Why?"
"I dunno, just... Wondered if she'd appreciate the company. Family friends, you know."
"How would Monica recognize you if she can't remember anything?" Yulea asks.
"One way to find out."
So while Ansi and Clint tag along with nobles, Leigh, Yulea, and Yancy head to the abode of the Falcoknight-turned-Maid.

Have any of you ever used WoD for a game not set in the traditional World of Darkness? Any of the Mirrors stuff or alternate options in the Chronicler's Guides. Or just thought of something new yourself.
What suggestions do you have for running a different type of World of Darkness game? Whether it's a Dark Era you'd want to use, or even something more extreme like a fantasy or cyberpunk setting.

A friend of mine once used core to run a prohibition era Gangsters mortals game. Almost no supernatural stuff except for this one weird guy who could steal Willpower points with a touch.
Last week we played with the alternate "automatic damage" rule in nWoD. The part I liked was how quick combat was compared to our last session, but the part I didn't like was how one of the players got knocked into aggravated with a single hit from a shotgun, and another player knocked an npc into full lethal with a single shot from his revolver.
Tips? Should we nix it? I've asked the group about it, but they're split down the middle.

How much is too much?
Is it only for the GM or only because of the GM?
Personally i feel it can actually enhance the experience so long as we're all responsible and not newcomers to the experience. It seems to help the flow of RP and the GM pulls out his best shit. Maybe thats just my group though.
Had a few games that allowed it, no horror stories because everybody knew their limits. Helps me slip into "Character" a bit more naturally.

Don't think I've ever seen Earthdawn mentioned. Which is a shame. Apparently the newest edition is still in development hell? But the editions all really closely match each other, porting between them is almost effortless.

“This is nicer than I expected,” Ayla says, collecting the last of the machine parts as the party leaves the hidden Altar room. “I'll go find a spot and set up the communication hub. It shouldn't take long.”
“Let us know when you're done.” Kainzo says, as she waves you off and vanishes upstairs. “I'm eager to see what we're capable of here.”
You're about halfway through the lab when a humanoid—a clockwork automaton—shuffles up to you, and you're forced to stay your hand as you instinctively reach for your sword.
“Sir,” The Curator speaks in a tinny voice. “There are unauthorized guests in your company.”
“Every member of this party is a guest of honor, guardian.” Kainzo says. “Allow anyone to pass from outside, as well. This is neutral territory, after all. What types of facilities are available to us here?”
“For a price, an apothecary could be brought in from elsewhere to tend to the laboratory, as could the standard merchants one would encounter in a town—save for a fortune-teller, that is.” The automaton continues. “For anything out of the ordinary, I believe further negotiation with the Celestials would be necessary. If you'd like, I could begin—”
“Bring in one of everything, then. I don't care how much it costs.” Kainzo says.
“I can pay for it, if you'd like.” Andor says. “My guild and I have plenty of credits to spare.”

With a click of his UI, Kainzo disbands the raid party and exits as well. Dorian's gone off with Ayla; you have no clue where Tatsumaki went.
“Good work feels like an understatement, after all that nonsense.” Nel sighs. “We got there, though.”
“Yeah!” Vyx says, offering you a high-five. “Nice job, uh... you.”

You peek your head out into the streets as the winged beast takes off. The monster's shadow hangs over the castle as if it's trying to fight the sun.
The noise quiets down, and the silouette of the creature is no where to be found.
"Jack!?" you uneasily yell out into the streets. Last you saw, he freed Yuuki and practically threw her at you.
"Jack?" You yell once more. The echo reaches your ears, and fills you with dread.
Oh shit, you don't see Jack.
You are Cody Remington. Charming scoundrel, fastest gun in the west, and soon you're gonna hang a dragon's head on your wall. You might have to remove a few sets of deer antlers, but you'll make it fit one way or another.
Hopefully, you don't have to mount that head at Jack's grave. You have no idea where he went off to. You can only hope he's hiding.
"Where's Jack?" Yuuki tries to push past you, but you quietly push her back inside of the guard post.
"He's.. going around, in another direction. We'll catch up with 'em later." You don't like lying, especially to the one other person who has your back on this expedition.
At the same time, you realize that lie was more for yourself than it was for her.
There's a rumbling in the air, the monster is coming back.
"Quick!" You push your way through the guardhouse. The build itself is a miniature fortress, but even stone can't stop the steely claws of a giant, pissed off salamander.
You snatch Louise up into your arms and lead Yuuki by the hand deeper into the lower levels of the complex. Sand and dust falls from the ceiling as you reach the lowest level.
Everything down here is a wreck, tables turned, chairs thrown, and a bare spot made clear in the center of the room. It's a trap door, recently thrown open.
