A smile joins her reassurances - a small one, but it's there, one that you could almost call motherly if not for the shark's teeth just peeking out between her curled lips. "Perhaps...perhaps it is a sign that she had noticed Midori's plight, and is thus working through her to heal, her." She looks at you with her sunless eyes, eyes the exact mirror of those that belong to the pink-haired demon hunting you in your dreams - before letting out a sigh. "...If nothing else, at least they are not completely black and weeping foul ichor, yes?"

Depends on your setting. I could see a lot of possible industrial things in a swamp in the 40k setting. If it's fantasy then you could always go with indian/inca-style ruins, rotten wooden structures or just the local wildlife.

And here's my last update for this year. Made some progress with this dude's armour, almost finished his base. Still a lot of work to do, haven't really touched his cape or loincloth yet. It's all right. Best 3.5 derivative. Books are presented and written nicely, but sometimes poorly organized. There could be some more guidance here and there. A glossary would have fixed a lot of its problems.

Everything's fucked. Most of the problems have burned themselves out and you only see the tail end of them and probably civilization unless you time travel to the beginning/sacrifice yourself to keep things shitty but working. There's two resources that have vital plot significance.

Most of these ships are immobile or move only short distances. The setting takes place around Earth, there is no warp/lightspeed form. Travel ships are smaller and symmetrical but I'm focused on slow-moving dwelling ships and living stations that generate their own power (sometimes their own food) and receive resources from smaller ships.

The more of a social reject/freak you are, the better you are at being a QM.
On /tg/, there's a lot of discussion about D&D (Big shock there) and a lot about which edition is best. I was thinking that maybe we could come together and create our own! Piece together certain systems and try and see what would be the funnest to play/run. Or maybe just things you would like to see in an edition, officially. Things like guns, certain monsters, a feat, or just a simple change in mechanics. The way this will work is you can reply with "Canon," to things you want to see. 10 "Canons," means we put in the list of things to see. OP will compile a list of these thjngs, and we can modify them from there.
Magic items are a rare bonus, not a requirement to make the math work.
Unless you specify a baseline, it's going to end up as a camel. You cannot please the whole playerbase - and that's a good thing. It would be possible to develop an old rules set that is no longer supported, or perhaps try to find a "happy medium" between two different editions.

Besides some minor harassment by some of Volante’s forces, which you’d had Malaine’s flying knights take care of, there had been no pursuit. With Volante hunkering down at Trembin, that left Vitria relatively safe. At least safe enough that you could look elsewhere. Sadly, Vitrian politics called and you were now waiting for Count Argyle and Lord Tabeth to make their way to your camp.
Forewarned is forearmed, so when Sarah had let you know via sending that the nobles were coming via horseless carriage, you had modified the camp set-up. Your command tent lay atop a ridge south of the ford and on the path to it you had the Vitrians encamp. The horseless carriage of the nobles rolled up the ridge. It was bestrut with elaborate gold and silver ornamentation and could hardly be missed by the commoner soldiers it passed.
The military was your key to power in Vitria and you would make damned certain that Tabeth and Argyle wouldn’t cause you much trouble. The fact that they hadn’t marched north with their own troops after you set off made it clear they had no intention of fighting. The more the Vitrians saw them as fops, the less likely they were to cause you grief as you ascended to power.
Inside the command tent was just you and Gnome, as you wanted to avoid a scene. Tabeth and Argyle were joined by Sarah, who had switched from her resplendent mage robes to something more suitable for travel. Argyle had done similar and looked as if he at least understood this was a potential battlefield. By contrast, Aaron Tabeth wore his youth even more openly than you did and his lack of common sense was obvious in his intricate doublet. You wondered if his military service in the Knights of Black Stone was just a fad, as he had likely not been near a battlefield in his life.
