What sort of society would evolve in a generation ship on a centuries long voyage?
What would happen if this generation ship reaches it's destination only to discover the world they set out to colonize has developed a civilization of its own due to time dilation making the voyage way longer to people on the ground.
If the Natives are advanced enough to resist: Independence Day
If not: GENOCIDE.

Interestingly, the series Last Exile takes place on a generation ship.
They basically set things up so there is a "supervisor" race, which is enhanced to be smart and incorruptible and an arbiter for any conflict that happens within. There ends up being competing factions within the ship, and the supervisor race gets corrupted, and all hell breaks loose obviously.
It probably depends on the size of the ship. If it's big enough, you might get some kind of tribalization and divergent evolution happening.
Other than that, I'm not sure.

If we have our 2nd drop out, maybe you can have a late run in the rookies
A village forms near the Lavafathers shipyard, loyal Stonestars migrating to assist in the construction. Pylons of white bone and dark stone rise up, armatures swing through the air carrying carved stone and metal constructing the very first of the prototype ships for the Obsidianborn.
Stonestars watch in amazement as a large bowl of black stone levitates itself from the ground, an Obsidianborn standing on top to manipulate the hovering device. A Think Tank floats through the testing efforts, passing by a weapon that gathers a glowing orb of molten magma from a nearby pool before launching and splattering across the side of a distant hill smoldering from previous tests.
Think Tanks give lessons to Stonestars on the basics of spaceflight and the construction of spaceworthy craft. To the surprise of your Think Tanks the stonestars are quick learners, the best and brightest of them long been given lessons by the Obsidianborn in math and simple physics. Those researchers sent to the moonbase of Horizon's Drop already hard at work in their lessons as the Warriors are equipped with the new Cauldron-forged gear. Plates of bone and metal replacing their stone armor. The Stonestars are slimmed down and move with ease and speed through the low gravity, launching themselves with joy through the tunnels swinging arm to arm. Necrolyte soldiers left behind begin the basics of weapons training, stonestars equipping themselves with necroflensers and shardspitters or even the familiar Napalmthrower and Lightning Gun.
You look over the Stonestars under your control and in the service of the Lavafather. This race of warlike creatures show great potential to become a power in the galaxy and you are glad it will be under the service of the New Necrotic Armada.
Perhaps that's where the old Armada went awry. Why consume and reanimate when you can recruit and convert the living to willing give their lives and potential to you?

Completed Research:
>Hunter Squid: A large predatory cephalopod that was at the top of the food chain in open waters. Relying on it's colorshifting to sneak up on prey before jetting forward with a burst of it's powerful siphon it attacks while flashing an intense array of colors to disorient and confuse. It's body comprised of a large conical shell of light but durable bone-like material with an cluster of six barbed limbs capable of extending nearly twice their resting length.
>Anti-Air Missiles: A series of missile pods hidden in the mountain side provide aerial defense against incoming ships though disrepair had led to many of the pods to malfunction and detonate prematurely
>Mini-Rockets: Miniature rockets a third the size of a standard grenade are fired from a pod. Containing a small amount of propellant they are able to track and aim for moving targets to deliver an explosive warhead capable of being loaded with a variety of payloads.
>Rukor Eels: The majority of Rukors lifeforms appear to be a form of eel, cephalopod, or crustacean like creatures. Eels fill many of the ecological niches ranging from small finger sized scavengers to eels longer than a coffin hiding in reefs and caves, even including the vicious kryssers. The Ructu relied on a fast breeding eel that swam in large shoals near the shores feeding on smaller organisms or the local plant-life. Mildly cannibalistic a female eel is much larger than the males, laying large clutches of eggs that hatch quickly, the larvae maturing rapidly.
>Stonestar Equipment: The Stonestars given to the Armada to train for war or sent as prisoners inducted into the Necrolyte Legion required an upgrade to their equipment now that they were reaching for the stars. Stone and shell armors no longer adequate for space-travel Think Tanks have been given the task of creating new equipment for the echinoderms.
>>45221261
Unlocked:
>Siphon Jet: A powerful organ capable of sucking in both water or air to propel a unit rapidly in short bursts. Provides a powerful boost in speed as long as submerged in liquid or within a pressurized zero-g environment. Outside of aquatic environments a unit would need a mode of levitation or flight to effectively use it when affected by gravity.
>Sting Whip Upgrade: Sting Whips can now reach nearly double their previous length
>Anti-Air Missile Tower: A tower containing a large amount of long-range tracking missile for the purpose of striking and destroying craft within in the upper atmosphere of the planet.
>Mini-Rocket Pod: A back mounted pod containing a cluster of mini-rockets. Once fired the mini-rockets race for the target guided by the gaze of the shooter, able to track targets with some degree of agility. Each pod contains three volleys of five mini-rockets before needing replaced.
>Kelp-Eel Farm Upgrade: Your Kelp Vats can now support a breed of necrotically altered Eel, the creatures growing in large clutches. The eels graze on the kelp while their waste helps promote the kelps growth in return. The eels gives the Kelp Vats a boost in Biomass production capable of processed for Cauldrons or harvested for feeding living subjects. Kelp-Eel Farms produce 15B Daily
>By studying the Stonestar form extensively using the corpses gained from Agona's campaign and the Stonestar researchers Think Tanks have come up with a new form of equipment for the race. A suit of interlocking chitin and metal plates replaces the stonestars stone armor. Cauldrons can create for them exosuit versions of their suits. Stonestars are able to equip two light weapons effectively or one medium or heavy weapon modified for use with their unique body shape. Stonestar suits allow for them to communicate with their coded language with a remarkable increase in ease of translation and speed of communication in comparison to their stone armor.

Don't you guys feel there is just too much fucking fluff going on and you've completely killed the original mood and style of the setting?
Just saying.
>>45221834
The original mood and style was a /tg/ soup (with MEATBREAD side) of everything the original fa/tg/uy liked at the time. The fluffing of the brew is meant to be other stuff /tg/ers like, and try to complement the flavor of the original. (Imagine if every part of a meal you had was over-salted.)
The only think I can point at and say 'Not TG!' is the Mobian, because of Sonichu.
Considering the original offers adaptations to the original exaltations, I would expect storymasters/GMs to be able to refluff the 'brew to their liking.

A Land Raider. Dropped from a Thunderhawk Transporter with the Killteam inside, directly onto the Hive Tyrant's head.
Essential stats: http://pastebin.com/jsfxVKt7
You manage surprisingly well. Admittedly, much of your success can be attributed to the dogs, but even so. Your careful tracking brings you close to the herd and you can feel the breeze on your skin well enough to get downwind of them, sneaking closer and closer. Then, you give a piercing whistle and the dogs sprint away, fanning out and barking, dividing the herd and driving part of it towards you. You do not trust your sightless aim enough to react swiftly and hurl your javelin as you ordinarily would, however with your hands already extended, once the beast comes close enough, you already have the javelin hovering just beneath your hand and ready to go. At once, you launch it forward and skewer the leaping deer. Another whistle through your teeth and the dogs close in for the kill, bringing the doe down for you to prepare and bring home.
Your hunt only goes all the smoother, after you say a prayer to Lugal and touch your hand to the ground, searching out with your magic. The forest around you pulses with life, like the beat of a heart. You don't receive a direct response from the stag god, but you can feel his presence, pushing your awareness towards what you seek. A hunter is as much part of the cycle of life and death in the forest, as any other animal. With your help, the herds are kept in check, the slow, weak and old weeded out and their numbers kept from overflowing what the valley can sustain. With Lugal's spirit guidance, you bring home more than you would otherwise be able to, so long as you take what he asks.
You successfully gather three units of meat before the summer begins.

Scribbles had been so eager to start the interview that she almost got murdered by the medics for attempting to bribe you with coffee for it. The author is surprisingly respectful in her eagerness; she asks you about your childhood and your family, and is solemn when you reach the bad parts, as you knew you were going to.
You leave nothing out, though you do sometimes have to stop to rest and/or sleep. She uses those times to interview others that have been involved; somehow she's brought almost as many blank books as she brought crossbow bolts, which you're pretty sure involved violating the laws of nature to get them all to fit.
Eventually, the medics proclaim you fit to live your life normally, though they caution you to still take it easy.
"I need to compile these anyway," Scribbles tells you. "...Ran out of notebooks. I'll be back for more of this! Sometime!"

I play a rip-and-tear, no-armor soldier/barbarian. Greatsword, tough hide, pretty sick. We're tooling around in an airship, in the midst of a dragon-powered chinese war trying to stop the war and getting really worried because it sounds like the gods themselves are getting involved in it. (And we're trying to stop it. And people don't usually win when arguing with gods.)
Very fun, very straightforward, very killy. Having to social shit as someone who would prefer to solve things with her sword is a lot of fun. Probably wouldn't have the patience for this, but family is involved and both of the gods involved in the conflict are fairly prominent in her life.
>>45200320
>Oh, and here's the copypasta, OP. For real.
Fantasy Craft is a d20 P&P RPG using the OGL. It's geared towards cinematic play where every character can contribute, with solid mechanics designed to give groups lots of flexibility to tailor games to individual preferences. Rather than just a set of bolt-on additions to the OGL d20 system, Fantasy Craft tears it all down and rebuilds from the ground up, steering clear of the major pitfalls of other OGL games and aiming for a more cinematic, narrative-focused style.
Noteworthy points:
>Drastically reined-in magic system putting casters on equal footing with non-casters
>Classes and the game as a whole designed to ensure everyone can contribute in a wide range of circumstances, even outside their primary niche
>Separate cash and Reputation economies keep mundane gear relevant and magic items special
>Custom monster and NPC design is a breeze
>Optional Campaign Qualities tweak mechanics to suit your preferred style and tone

>Whatcha playin?
Four magnificent characters.
>Human Fighter Burglar in a caveman game.
He's honestly the more levelheaded of the group but also the weirder one, mostly in the eye of the Martial Artist who thinks being noticed is the most important thing in the world. Also very snarky.
>Dwarven Musketeer Soldier in a colonial game.
He's the gundorf, you need something shot he's your vertically challenged humaniod. He's got enough gun to arm the party by himself and he's also the only not-asshole in the group.
>Human Fighter Runeknight in a Sigil game.
He's the man who can take the damage and deal some of it. Raised on a world where everyone were adept magician as a weak mundane he managed to raise some magical talent before he got flung into Sigil by a baby protection spell. He's also the interdimensional mailman of the group.
>Human Gladiator Soldier in a generic fantasy game.
Strong, talkative, and handsome. He's got what the ladies like, he thinks. Focused on taking hits and punishing misses with some Charge feats to be added to him as he levels.
Whelp, last thread got deleted, probably cause we were trying to world build in a fetish thread
But I liked the idea so lets continue
What we have so far
>Space opera setting, a general mishmash of soft scifi/space tropes, first contact was a while ago and it's been long enough since then so lots of races have intermingled, particularly on major trading hubs and space stations.
Main races
>Humans
The Little people of the setting, absolutely tiny compared to most other races, about the size of a hand. Despite this extremely dense, to the point they have very little to fear from accidentally getting stepped on, a side effect of evolving on the densest known homeworld. Often living along side other races in their own cities tucked away in the walls and floors alongside other races, think The Littles
>Space elves [need name]
Blue space elves, hellenistic/ancient greek theme with a fairly ridgedly defined caste system: warriors, artisans, merchants, etc.. Caste is denoted by silvery chest tattoos, with additional tattoos added for noteworthy deeds/honors/promotions
>Plant folks [need name]
Space dryads/alraunes. Use tree ships/plant based tech, like having large spaces full of soil to relax in
>Avians [need name]
Not much done, come from a very low G homeworld
>Insectiods [need name]
Paradoxically both loners among their own kind and very fond of other races, no matter what planet you go too, there's always going to be a giant bug person there doing odd jobs just so it can be around other races
>Squidfolk/merfolks [need name]
Not much done, wear "wetsuits" when out of the water
