Hey /k/, I'm not really a gun expert. I recently acquired a Peacemaker and saw that .45 colt is a fairly large round. I was wondering if .45 colt is stronger than .44 magnum, or would it be weaker because of black powder?
>>28020850
>Guize plz Google ballistic data for me
>>28020850
Why do people think .45lc is black powder?
240 grain 44 magnum
125 yard zero
Hello /k/, nogunz /his/torian here. Could you please tell me the main differences between the two guns' bolts (tilting vs rotating)? I heard that the AK 47's rotating bolt was very similar to that of the Garand? How did this affect the guns characteristics? Which one was better?
Nobody?
>>28020633
titing bolt gun vibrate uncontrolable in fullauto because the lock and unlock action
because of this the MP-44 shoot a under power round
rotaing bolt have a much more smooth unlock antion
Garand use a two locking lug bolt, with bigger bolt face, first Kalashnikov use a two locking lug bolt with small bolt face, AK-46 and AK47 use a two locking lug bolt, with bigger bolt face. yes the AK bolt is similar to Garand
>Which one was better
rotating bolt, every modern...

Albeit similar to a garand the actions were and are still unique from eachother.
My dad had this in my garage anyone know any more info about it?

Its an oriental anal vibrator!
Alright /k/ why the fuck does my .223 look like a bic pen?
How about getting a haircut you fucking hippie

This is random, but are there any /k/ommandos around Austin, TX that have access to any land for shooting?
I've got a bunch of funs that I've never shot and I hate going to ranges, but I don't know anyone here with land.
DR8C0
>>28020367
I live around Austin but I'm looking for land as well...
You wanna talk on email? maybe we can go shooting together sometime!
>>28020378
pls no
>>28020422
Sure, you have kik? Can trade emails there.
Hey, /k/,
I'm building a kit right now, and I'm looking at different camos. I think Multicam would be best for my region (pic related). Does anyone have suggestions?
Also, general "what camo do you use" thread.
>>28020309
I have multicam. The desert and forest mix pretty well with the pattern.
>>28020309
Tibetian tarn

Where exactly are you?
Saw this, and thought that you lot would love it:
http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/Visit/VirtualTour/Cockpit360.aspx
360 degree high-res views of a whole range of aircraft cockpits:
A10, B1-B, B24 Liberator, F117, F15, SR-71, Even Air force One.
Plenty of others too.
>>28020276
Play DCS warthog with an Oculus and Thrustmaster. It's pretty freakin sweet.
>>28020276
Dat A model cockpit though...
The C models have two [better] MFCDs instead of that bank of station indicators.
That beat-to-shit caution panel sure looks sweet though.
I thought OP pic was a 3d render but it's actually real, pretty cool

Thoughts?
Fun for those in countries that don't have to deal with a tax stamp and paperwork for a SBR. In the States, however, this would just be stupid.
>>28020204
Needs an arm brace....I'm using an endo with a brace, which isn't perfect.
>>28020257
It still has a vfg. It'd be considered an AOW.
There's no way to own and legally use this in the states without a tax stamp.
What do you consider the minimum acceptable caliber for self defense in your everyday carry gun?
Pic unrelated
>>28020179
For civilians/police, probably .32 ACP. I can't imagine asking somebody to rely on .25 ACP.
For military applications, 9x19mm is the minimum useful round.
>>28020258
this to be quite honest with you family
>>28020179
.25 ACP.
Anything lower and magdumping neck won't be effective anymore.
False rumors BTFO thread
>Revolvers are more reliable than semi autos
>.40 is too snappy
>AR15 is not as reliable as a Kalash
>Storing ammo separate from gun
>HK has a measurable quality difference congruent with its price tag
>
>>28020079
Well you didnt BTFO anything. You just said they were BTFO without proving anything.
>>28020079
Subjective bait thread go!
>>28020090
This
OP is either from reddit or a total homosexual
sorry, too redundant?
did smith and Wesson fuck up by not releasing the M&P shield in .380 first, then 9mm Like glock did with the 42 / 43? Would you have bought one?
No.
>>28020066
Of course they didn't
>>28020066
Shield would be heug for a .380, that's why they made the bodyguard.
Quick /k/, post super bugs while the mods are distracted!
>>28020012
Somebody tell the Australians.
>>28020022
shhhhh mods
Here it goes, /k/.
> plan on getting babies first 9mm
> hinge between the H&K P30l and a Beretta 90two
> tell relatives
> "Not bad choices, but if you want to actually hit your target all the time, go with a Sig 210 Legend"
The thing is.... the Sig is so much more expensive where i´m from and i want to know what you guys think about that advice.
No.
Get a USP Expert.
The P210 is beautiful but not superior. Your relatives are relatively retarded.
>>28019982
Do you really want a match grade handgun for your first 9mm?
Just find a Danish surplus 210, they should be a bit cheaper
>>28020011
So what makes the USP better?
Just subjectively or really objectively better?
Got some 7.62 copper washed ammo at a gun show for 140$. How did I do, what can you tell me of the ammo...
>>28019979
>>28019987
Congrats
You got chinese surplus steel core type 81 food, it was banned in the 90's and is worth like $400 a spam can on gunbroker
>>28019979
You got you some fantastic ammo at a reasonable price, that's what you got.
That stuff is "armor piercing".
/k/, a coworker offered to sell me a Romanian ak assembled from a kit for $350. I don't know too much about it yet other than it has composite furniture and a tapco trigger. Pic related, what it probably looks like. I'm an AR guy, any thing I should look for? I know to make sure the fsp is not canted. Seems like a good deal and I may do it.
>>28019912
It looks like he crushed those rivets pretty badly, but it is very possible that the gun will still work just fine. Make sure that it will accept proper mags and not just those single-stack monstrosities.
>>28019966
Also, that stock is clearly painted wood.
>>28019966
That's not the gun, just one I found on Google that matched the description
