>buy .22 ammo for Grandpa's Model 60
>head down to range
>dad sets up at 100 yards, sights in rifle for me
>my turn
>knees are shaking, luckily my old navy camo shorts hid them
>sit down at bench, shoulder rifle
>flick safety off, take aim
>tense and jerk the trigger
>dust puffs up at about 50 yards
>try again
>get the hang of it after some coaching
>after a few tubes of ammo, get an idea
>don't look down the sights, cowadooty style (pic related)
>dust puffs up everywhere down range
>oh fuck
>guy next to me is level 50 ancient fudd elder shooting some custom built marksman rifle
>turns and says "HEY YER FUGGIN KID SHOTTED MY TARGET"
>dad says it must have been an accident
>"NAW AH SAWR HIM HE WIZ FUGGIN ROUND"
>dad tells me to stop fucking around
>fudd leaves
>get new idea
>stand up, scream "DIE JAPS!!" And cowadooty hipfire dump the tube
>rangemaster has aneurism and starts screaming in retired Marine
>dad and I leave
>got in a shit ton of trouble

And that's when I learned that shooting is not at all like cowadooty.

There's a cheap and really easy way to collect your brass after shooting. You don't have to walk around hunched over pecking at the ground.

https://youtu.be/WZDD0dOTpas

I hope you're not leaving your brass behind for someone else to grab.

>In 2014 the FBI released a report detailing the potential combat effectiveness of the 9mm cartridge when compared to other calibers such as the.45 ACPand the.40 Smith & Wessoncartridge that was specifically developed for use by the FBI. The report indicated that the new powders and more advanced bullet designs used in current 9mm defensive loads allowed for the caliber to deliver comparable performance to other calibers, like the .45 ACP, and .40 S&W. In addition to this the lower recoil, less wear, and higher capacity were all reasons that the report cited for the recent surge in orders of the ammunition from various police agencies. With a wider selection of officers being able to shoot handguns chambered in 9×19mm many departments choose this caliber so they can standardize around a single firearm and loading, making logistics and supply easier. Due to all of these factors, law enforcement orders of 9mm ammo from all major ammunition manufacturers have spiked dramatically.

This the result of advancements in bullet techonology? corrupt contract bribes? bean counters gonna bean? diversity lets the women shoot 9 better? Bunch of accountants in the FBI instead of hard dick cops from the 30s?

soup /potassium/

I am looking for a list of pistols that have some features that I like, but am having a hard time finding any such guns.

I am looking for a pistol that is all steel, compact, double stack 9mm, has a decocker, for which night sights are available.

The spec lists on some manufacturer sites are not always clear, and the websites sometimes cluttered/ hard to navigate.

Can anyone help out?

So I've got to go in before the 4th and choose my 3 new MOS options from the results of my aptitude test

Think I've settled on;
Armour
Boatswain
And I'm not sure for the last one, was considering Combat Engineer at first but the death rates put me off a bit
Thinking maybe some super POG trade like Cook or airspace/vehicle technician
I feel like cook though woul honestly have the most use in the real world than half of these hyper-specific tech trades, ad I'd enjoy it more since I'm not terribly mechanically minded.

Its a good knife.my buddy has the 6k and its a beater for sure.some say the quality is higher than actual emersons.
>>
>>28011496
It's not a mystery steel. It's 8CR13MOV, which is for all intents and purposes AUS-8.

It's not the best knife around for the money IMO, but if you like Emerson designs and don't want to spent 150-200 bucks on a knife it'll scratch the itch.

Real consensus is that nobody knows jack about this plane. China's extremely secretive about its military and there's probably not going to be any military operation that will show off its performance. Everything is speculative.

helicopter crew chief, what do y'all do?

So, /k/, I have a question. Let's say that, as a Britbong, I'm sick of being arrested for buttering my toast with an unreasonably large plastic butter knife, and I want to move over to the USA to get guns and more freedom, and to attempt to single-handedly recolonize America like the good Brit I am.

Which State would be best to move to for owning firearms, how much cash should I scrape together to move, and how hard is it to immigrate from the UK?

Also, would it be autistic to buy a STEN / Sterling, Enfield, or Webley, just for reinforcing my Britishness?
57 posts and 14 images submitted.
>>
Dunno about the STEN/Sterling, but getting an Enfield or Webley for yourself would be awesomely British old boy!
>>
Please, please, please don't come to the US. You may like guns but your still a britbong and your country is the reason we have liberals.

That said, I have a Sterling Mk4, it's actually a really really really cool gun. But can you really say it's a British gun anymore? 95% of the people in your country don't even know what it is called, what it's country of origin is, or anything about them, let alone be able to touch one or own one.

Face it, the Sterling is an American gun now. We saved it while your country tried to give it an abortion. Now fix your own country and your teeth first.
>>
>>28009358
>your still a britbong and your country is the reason we have liberals
No, it isn't. You have Liberals because that's just the way things are. Don't blame other countries, that's entirely your own fault.
>Face it, the Sterling is an American gun now
And I assume you'll now try and say that the Enfield is an American gun, too. Or anything made by Webley. Or the Chauchaut, or perhaps anything made by HK?
And let me guess, coffee is American, too. And tea. I mean, you drink it more than anyone so it's yours, right? That's how ALL of this works.

So apparently this is the US Navy's flagship

What the fuck?

Gone are the days when the only ships with decent command and control were battleships.

I was part of a comms mission with Blue Ridge some years back. I remember a week of trying to get a good signal and then giving up because the exercise was over.
