So /k/, I'm getting a Ruger American Predator in 6.5 creedmoor. Long story short I'm in commiefornia so no leaded ammo for hunting, all lead free ammo is expensive so I might as well go for 6.5 creedmoor. I can't afford a more expensive rifle because I have to spend so much on ammo no matter what calibre I choose.
My question is what are the best scopes and scope mounts for this set up and for the money?
My price range is $100 give or take $50.

Let me put it this way.
I have a budget of about $700 for a new hunting setup.
The gun is gonna be at least $450 after shipping, taxes, and the FFL fee. So I'll be safe and call it $500. A good scope will most likely costs me at least about $125 after shipping and taxes. so that leaves me with $75 dollars. not a lot of wiggle room when a 20 round box costs $50.

The people in charge are anti-gun. The rest of the folks, not so much. I stopped in to my local gun store a bit after that San Bernadino shooting, and not only was it packed but the owner told me they had more than 40 pickup that day, and more to come.

Dad has happened into a lot of old ammo over the years and he gave me a few boxes of 7.62x51 from Korea and Vietnam.
Does /k/ think it will actually chamber, fire, and extract?
I dunno but it might be worth selling and buying new 7.62x51 with.

I've got an austrian m95 and I found some crusty ammo with it. I'm probably not going to shoot it since there's some corrosion on the primers.

So long as it's not overly corroded it'll be fine. Check the primers and be sure the bullets are still seated securely. I've shot 1933 made .303 surplus which was heavily tarnished and it worked fine.

Frankly, it's either the CZ or getting a good deal on a used shottie on consignment. Which I did. The shotgun in your OP pic is a Sauer Royal. I bought mine for $600 in a hock shop in Silicon Valley as a 30th Bday present to myself.
There *are* those big clubby EA imports, but I don't think they would make you happy. The CZ looks like a nice trim old-fashioned gun with all the features you are looking for.
What makes one SxS perform better than another?

Someone just offered me this Lorcin 380 for $250. I've heard a lot of bad things about this gun before. Does anyone have personal experiences with this? Can I fix the double feed issues it apparently has? Is it easy to tear down? Or should I really just completely avoid it?
I figure it's only $250 so wouldn't matter anyways and I'd only be adding experience by trying it out. Thoughts?

I have a bryco .380. Same ergonomics, same quality. It shoots, gives you slide bite because it's for midget hands, and it doesn't always like hollow points. I got mine for 110 back before shooting theaters and schools was hip and kids didn't visibly identify as retards.

Is the Lawgiver from the Judge Dredd comics a viable weapon in real life?
More accurately is it realisable for there to be a Handgun featuring semi-automatic and fully automatic fire, that can hold a variety of different ammo types simultaneously, and have security measures making sure it can only be fired by authorised personnel?
In the comics the Lawgiver usually carries 6 different kinds of ammo all at once, and the judge just flips a switch to select ammo types.
the standard issue ammunition types are: Standard, Heat Seeking, Rubber Ricochet, Armor Piercing, Incendiary, Hi-Explosive.
Also in the comics the gun has a palm-print scanner, so if an unauthorized individual attempts to fire the weapon, it explodes in their hand.

They will fill it out, but those look like the soft foam ones that bend around. Get some generic hard foam ones by tmc if you want some that wont bend for like 10$. Am airsofter.
