What's the best convertible mitten glove for winter operations?

For shooting in the cold, I think these are better than gloves with the trigger finger tip cut off and stuff. Anyone own a pair they love?

Those finger parts look mighty thin for winter operating.

I just used some cheap-ass winter work gloves + undergloves during conscription inna FDF and they worked just fine.

For real cold weather and night-time guard duty in -30C pic related combo.

I'm imagining finnish rifles being made with a trigger and trigger guard that is operated by sticking your whole hand in and squeezing, like a giant bicycle break handle

I am an American traveling to Prague in 2 weeks. Is there anything /k / related I should buy? I know they have fairly lax laws by yurop standards. I was thinking maybe trying to ship back a hard to find AK variant or something

You won't be able to bring back the receiver or the barrel. If I were you I'd keep an eye out for milsurp gear.

I want a p239 so badly, but they're just too expensive for what it is. I have no problem with $5-600 for a gun, but not one that is obsolete and inferior to other guns.
>>
>>28404428
I found a used p239 for $500 flat 25 miles away from where I live but it's in a ghetto area so fuck that.

But yes, I do agree it is pretty obsolete but I'm a sucker for the sig's da/sa

Never, because sigs are naturally fuckhueg

Need some assistance here fags. I'm now at three long-guns and I'm thinking my 2016 resolution is to acquire my first handgun. Still trying to figure out which one is the right one, but as I am a larger guy with bear-paw hands,

I'm also considering an M&P for first handgun, simply because I've handled one and it was comfy as hell. I'll be going to my local funstore to fondle a Beretta this weekend.

So at this point I want to ask. For the learner, does the fire type matter? Will it be easier to learn a DA/SA setup like the Beretta, or is a striker gun like the M&P more advantageous?

My first was a 92fs. So see of its comfy and if you like it and you feel like John McClaine buy it. It really doesn't matter on the learning side. All guns have a learning curve.
>>

>if you like it and you feel like John McClaine buy it

I forgot about that.

What if I don't?
>>
>>28403896
Can't go wrong with the M&P. Thumb safeties/decokers are a pain in the thumb after a long day of shooting.

Been looking at getting one of these for home defense weapon, as they seem cheap and reliable. Hope to never use it other then occasional range.

I hear some say they are super reliable and some say they are worst thing on earth.

opinions? i can grab the 380 locallly for around $140, shrug.

Don't buy a hipoint unless you literally can't afford anything else and need a gun right this second.
>>
>>28403647
Firearms are not a casual hobby. If you're only interested up to spending $140 on a handgun, firearms probably aren't for you.

If you can only spend $140 on firearms, buy the C9. Do not buy a Raven, Cobra, etc. There isn't much point in buying a full size pistol in 380.

>some say they are super reliable
they are right
>some say they are worst thing on earth
they are wrong
>Hope to never use it other then occasional range
Firearms may not be for you, but you still have the right to life and liberty.

So I want a lever action .357 but I want to know what it would be good for hunting. I'd mainly be hunting in woods in PA so the range on a .357 would be fine for me. So what kind of game can I take with a .357?

Anything up to a small deer, I'd imagine. Don't buy a Mare's Leg. Get a Henry or an old Winchester.
>>
>>28403368
what kind of game can't you take with a .357? .357 is enough to drop a bear
>>
>>28403368
The only .357 load I'd use for anything bigger than yotes would be a hot-ass loading with a hard cast slug. Whitetail at or under 100 yards. If you're careful.

Best for innaswamp.
Look into "treeboat" style square frame bucket hammock tents, not a sling with a rainfly. Recreational treeclimbing tents are nice.
>>
A tarp and a hammock. It's a lot lighter than carrying a tent + gear

Any reason you couldn't just fire it inside a rifle? Feel like that would be easier and safer
