It's not a very good weapon but it's very comfortable to hold and quick to draw. All the other finger ring knives I've held felt like crap. I kinda wish they still sold the metal version of this knife

I got a few multi packs of throwing stars when the local head shop was going out of business.

I knew they were dorky to have, but they were fun to throw at targets set up in the woods. I painted mine orange so I could find them.

General SKS thread, I just have a quick question about the yugo grenade launcher. my pin got knocked out but I am wondering if I can still shoot it normally w/ grenade launcher threaded on ( without the pin). Should I just leave it off, or keep it threaded on, I think I should be fine since its threaded but I don't want any mishaps to happen

Here is Ameri/k/a
https://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=772301#
This was posted here a while ago and has been forgotten. Here you can find new places and meet new people, while contributing by placing new markers for shooting ranges, gun stores, Innawoods/abandoned buildings/Urban exploring spots, military bases, FFL holders, Gun shows, and /k/ommandos

>Meetups, Rangedays, /k/omraderie! find everything you need to know about local ranges, gun stores, innawoods spots, or others from /k/-Weapons in your area. The only way this map will stay up to date is because YOU help contribute. Post Ranges, gun stores, innawoods spots in your area, or your own location if you feel so inclined. If you do post your location the most you need to show is: your ZIP code so we at least have a general location of where you are near and your email address so range days or other meetups can be more easily organized.

If I missed anything, please forgive me.
And to the original creator: Thank you for your service.

Where can I find a list of suppressors ranked by dB reduction for a given caliber?

Goddamn, you put this together yourself? Are you going off of advertised dB, or a third party test?
>>
>>28393198
cool image, but this data doesn't mean much without an explanation of where the readings were taken, i.e. in a gun range, in a sound studio, outdoors, etc. but it does give a good representation of how quiet it gets with/without a suppressor.

Hey /k/. Which army MOS should I choose? I'm qualified to do any job so suggest any one. I'm currently an 11B in the national guard but have grown tired of it and want to do something else.

Going active army is going to be hard because not all MOS training carries over and they don't like to cross train you. You're probably going to be stuck at 11B unless you really fight for something else.

Why is it considered bad to shoot pilots while they are parachuting or when they hit the ground, but it is fine to shoot tank crewmen when they bail from a tank?
13 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>28392750

Its pretty much a leftover from the days of knights and traditionally commissioned officers. Helpless nobles and rich kids get taken for ransom, enlisted are bullet and sword repositories.
>>
>>28392750
it is not

and it is a morale thing
tank crew men will have guns (heck they could snag top mounted mg if they are lucky), and will be trained in fighting if its necessary, they are a threat

parachuting pilot cannot fight back, landed pilot even if he is armed hardly can do fuck all

basically is immoral to kill someone who posses no threat to you
>>
>>28392790
This really. In a real shtf war I doubt the chivalry will last long.

If all hell were to break lose and your country was getting invaded, what long range rifle would you use to defend it?

I currently have a remington 700 as of now but am considering other rifles.

Most common ammunition available.
Pistol matters more. You can hide them and they won't make you a target.

Are modern nations capable of achieving WW2 levels of military production? Or if the cold war went hot, would nations during the 60's/70's/80's be able to?
65 posts and 11 images submitted.
>>
It's not really applicable because no nation would ever need to reach that level of production again because if you've lost that many men and equipment then the nukes are coming out.

I've seen a BAE seminar that showed how at a total war footing a Type 45 destroyer could be built in 6-8 months rather than three years though so it's probably possible.
>>
The only nation where this still seems possible is China, the west is deindustrialized and Russia was gutted after the SU collapsed

Going to have to get into it becasue I was gifted a .38 S&W H&A that is way too much fun to shoot but can't find any .361 moulds, can I just drill out a .358 mould with a .360 bit? Also what is a good price per pound of black powder?

If you're serious, go over to castboolits
http://www.castboolits.gunloads.com/

and then go see NOE
http://noebulletmolds.com/NV/index.php?cPath=35&osCsid=csl00pm182mgms6ml08gqbqi00

I have a .363 mold from NOE I got on a group buy a few years ago for my Webley, haven't had a chance to use it yet but the guy does have a solid rep.
>>
>>28392643
I have no idea, good luck though....
Working on some 223 right now myself
>>
NOE or accurate molds is the best place to get overlarge molds.

Accurate will let you design to your specs and they will make it. Guy is super helpful and friendly.
