In roughly a year's time I'll be moving innacity for University. In between now and then, I'm saving up to buy my first EDC/CCW handgun, with a planned budget of around $500 though I could likely go higher for good quality.
While I understand the immediate push for a Glock 19/M&P Shield/etc, I am just about avoiding Strikers and all "modern" style handguns in favor of more "classic" semi-autos such as Makarovs, Toks, CZs, Walthers, etc. In at least 9mm or comparable (9x18 for example) This is pretty much a matter of personal preference.
So tl;dr advise me on a classic 9mm CCW pistol for around $500+
