I get paid, fairly well at that, to let them do the thinking and take the fall for when shit doesn't work because they fucked up. It's like a regular job except I get paid to shoot guns.

Soldiers keep each other alive. At the end of the day, if the unit works cohesively, they'll get through alive and get paid, and that's all that matters to the enlisted man.

You just do, it's part of the job.
The real question you want to ask is what makes people enlist in the first place.
And that question is so vague, that you shouldn't spend your time wondering about it.

.30-40 Krag carbine
As a battle rifle, it was mostly outclassed by Mausers. But, they shoot very well and have a fine craftsmanship to them. It's an excellent deer gun for Western forrests, especially if you choose to hunt with irons.

It has all the fun of the Mosin, with actually quality put into it. I'm convinced it's better than the k98, or its other bolt action contemporaries.

Looking into doing amateur gunsmithing.
I am mostly familiar with the AR platform, only thing i haven't learned how to do is disassemble the trigger assembly, but i hear that is easy. I figured starting with ARs is a good point because they are easy but would like to learn other guns too. picture is the kit im thinking about copping for the tools i don't have, and for extras on the ones i do have.
anyone here gunsmith? tips and shit for it?

not many tools for the lower.
ive taken apart and reassembled most of it with a screw driver, some punches, and some allen keys. the buffer tube you may need a wrench and a vise will help. but if you dont have the proper wrench you could probably nigger rig something.
Hello /k/, i come here for some help since i like guns but its hard to own them where i live and today (new years eve) we took out our only gun to fire, but then after we load it and pull the trigger the bullets wont always fire on the first try, my gun is a Sentinel MK IV in .22 magnum, which is a 9 shot revolver, and i noticed that the hammer marks on the spent casing and the ones that did not fire where too far of the center, like all the hammer hits its the rim of the casing.
Ive also heard that this particular gun is not easy to take apart since the manufacturer used special tools to assemble them and there arent many of those tools around, is there anything i can do to try and fix it? ill upload pics of it maybe someone can tell me whats likely the problem, i only have 4 pics and the gun is no longer in my hands right now, so if you guys need any more info just let me know and ill try to get it by tomorrow or something, thanks in advance!

Need to buy food for my Colt Trooper Mk III and Freedom is running some great prices on their new ammo in .357 and 38 with free shipping and 5% off.
Their listed velocities are really appealing, especially their 125gr 38 Special loads. My barrel is a 6" so I'm hoping they're not just completely lying like some ammo manufacturers tend to do, but I found their listed 9mm velocities to be very close.
I've bought some Fiocchi and Geco .357 from Sportsman's Guide before and it was okay but seemed moderate velocity and has inferior brass to the Freedom Munitions. Anyone here have experience with their .357 or 38 loads and could confirm the fast velocities?
