My school has a free weight room but they are closed on saturdays, sometimes they close earlier than 5pm (they dont even have a schedule), and now they fucking closed for a whole week. So I could just get an actual gym membership but it's like $54 a month (+$20 enrollment fee) but idk it sounds so expensiv ;^; desu

How did you feel when you first realised that protein powders are a meme?
meat and fish aren't that cheap, and it's more difficult to prepare. I don't think anyone is saying protein powder is preferable to a normal diet, it's just more convenient and sometimes cheaper depending on the protein source you're replacing.

What makes a "good" bar? It's standard weight and you can lift heavy things and put them down with it, what's the difference?
My old gym had these. I didn't care for them at the time because I was used to a shittier bar that bent a lot. It felt more comfortable to squat with so I avoided their newer bars.
After I built my home gym, i bought the ohio powerbar and im coming to like the more aggresive knurling and lack whip even at high weights.
What is the reason behind center knurling? Squats?
Changed gym and the new one have eleiko bars. Cool but squating heavy hurts.
What's wrong with showing off your gains?
Examples:

do three weeks only of 250mg daily, watch for side effects
stop for at least a month after, this is the perfect first time cycle to test your tolerance/reactions
I use nac but not pyruvate, also done a cycle w/o both, no difference.
Now doing 500mg/day with 24dnp's stuff. 6 days in, -4lbs. Im on no carb though, so water should be +/- 0.
Definitely the best weather atm for this - naked with the door open feels like normal, its +5 celcius outside.
I feel when doing no carbs at all, is better for the carb cravings that might get crazy, but if you dont allow yourself any, its going better. Also no hunget at all, eating 160g prot / 0-20g carbs / 50-100g fat depending which meat im using.

Can we get a noobie progression thread going? Been lifting for a month and a half and want to know how other beginners are progressing.
Bench: 135->175
Press: 85->110
Squat: 180->235
Row: 110->165

Is this progression slow or normal?
My bench is kinda weak (36kg using dumbbells and as such am doing 3x8) and my bench is progressing slow compared to my other lifts (54kg squat)
Would doing a set of pushups to failure after each bench set regardless of hitting 8 reps do anything? Or do I just slowly push on?
Slowly pushing on and adding small amounts of weight every few session will work, but adding in pressups to your workout certainly couldn't hurt.

Why are you pressing with Dumbbells?
Are you allowing for recovery?
Try doing 5 sets of increasing weight each time. So 1 set of lets say 50, then one of 52,5, then 55, 57,5 and finally 60.
Then on your next workout start at 52,5 on your first set and end at 62,5. You get the idea. This way you will progress quickly if you eat enough food.

do pulls for tech and for strength, sometimes both (tech pulls first obv)
id swap fsq and bsq, add rack holds or jerk dips on tue
rdls are pulls, so shud go on cj day sometimes if u rly want to do them
