When I first started I used to stand on my toes when I squatted. I'd also bench press over my face.
I used a smith machine.

I have played guitar for a decade and also lifted for over 3.
Muscles help more with women, but only if your face is attractive. if you're ugly muscles don't matter
if you learn an instrument with the motivation being to get women, you WILL quit. learning is too boring and repetitive
you need to be learning it for yourself, so you can know what it's like to truly feel music.
