What up /ck/. What can I roll peeled boiled eggs in to add some flavour? Aside from the obious salt, pepper, mixed herbs. Google is shit because every search result is 'how to peel eggs' crap.

/ck/, what is your go-to recipe for chicken?
Whole chicken, rub the outside, under the skin and inside cavity with butter or olive oil, salt, pepper. Stick some chopped fresh herbs, minced garlic and thinly sliced lemon under the skin. Stick half a lemon, a few crushed cloves of garlic and some herbs inside the cavity. Roast on a rack at 425 until done, about an hour or so usually depending on the size of the bird.
I also do the same thing with split breasts.
For legs and thighs, I like to season and sear them in a cast iron skillet and then finish in the oven.
Sage and thyme, olive oil and worcestershire with a splash of soy sauce. Marinate in the fridge for a couple of hours, dredge in seasoned flour, pan fry, chop and eat with romaine, avocado, endive and feta.

How do coffee people feel about Keurig coffee machines? Do they harm the coffee in any way?
They're overpriced, wasteful, only offer the illusion of convenience and make coffee that's mediocre at best.
They're understandable in a workplace setting where you don't want assholes spilling grounds everywhere but if you use one at home you're a dummy.
It's instant.
May taste good, but is automatically shit.
>harm the coffee
i lol'd
those keurig machines suck and are expensive
i dunno if they "harm" the coffee or not. coffee is coffee and if you're concerned about quality you should get a french press or something or cold brew it.
I was meeting up with some sales reps to get out wine list in order and of course everyone was showing off their rose wines, since the warm weather is about to hit. I hear people at more upscale places complain that the trendy/prestige bottles are hard to come by, but I was impressed by how many good roses there are this year at completely reasonable prices. Provence had a good year, evidently.
Already we've had a one day run on the stuff when the weather warmed up, and we're still pouring the last of out back up from last year!
I'm actually excited...

No, I hate light n fresh cotes du le fucking eurotrash summer plonk. The only roses I'll drink are musar, Lopez de Heredia, and cornelissin. Although bonny doon has a nice one that I can never find.
>>7477216
I'm not as fond of Cotes-du-Rhone roses, but I love the stuff from Provence. As for it being plonk, yeah, it's pretty much picnic or cookout wine. But that doesn't make it taste any less good when the warm weather hits. And I'm obviously not alone, because we sell a ton of the stuff during the spring and summer (and even during the fall, for that matter).
>>7477224
it is still shit, no matter how many people slurp it up

I think OP is talking about those barbecue places where they bring you raw ingredients and a small grill to the table so everyone cooks their own shit
I've seen it in Korean films

Amazon seems to be cheaper for several groceries these days, and has free 24 hour delivery. The only problem is that you sometimes have to buy in bulk.
Does anyone buy anything on Amazon or other places rather than their local supermarket? What are some tips/deals etc?
You reminded me of the last time I made artichoke dip in the crock pot.
It was absolutely fantastic but I ended up paying like $10 for just the artichokes.
Sure, just buy the largest size you can store of dry staple foods you like. I just buy 10 or 20kg bags of corn, buckwheat, quality rice etc., the savings are immense
The problem with 2.5kg canned foods is that the stuff has a limited shelf life after opening and needs to be refrigerated. I mean I don't really want to eat the same stuff 4, 5 days in a row, so supermarket sizes tend to be optimal anyway
I've been getting a few supplements and niche items from there. b12, vegan D3, algae oil, dulse flakes (my only consistent source of iodine), flax seeds, broccoli seeds. Flax got really expensive at the local grocery.
explain how this is done

Science has gone too far
rice cooker
Had a hankering for some hard boiled eggs and followed my usual procedure;
Put eggs in a pot of cold water, put pot on the stove at high heat, when it reaches a roiling boil, turn off heat and cover for 10 mins, (which I timed with the microwave) drain hot water and replace with cold water, do this a couple more times, eat hard boiled eggs.
Except this time, as soon as I smacked the egg with a spoon, I could feel that it was soft boiled and sure enough, they all were soft boiled.
They were still tasty and none of them were floaters, so WTF?

Just don't eat heavily processed foods, stay away from commercial lunch meat, control your salt content when cooking, switch to something like lite salt. Drink more water, if you drink soda limit it or try to stop drinking it. You'll be on your way.
>>7476182
Thanks. I've had soda cut from a diet for a while now so I got that handled. I assume it's okay to use spices and herbs instead of seasonings or even lite seasonings right?
>>7476189
Yes, most herbal/spice blend seasonings are fine. Salt based seasonings, like BBQ salt, etc., you should probably avoid, but a little won't kill you either.

Sorry, I don't own a television, but why would you travel to italy just to avoid counterfeit italian oil? Are you one of those new jersey "eye-talians" who thinks that a thing is automatically better if it came from italy? There are like 40 other countries that produce perfectly good oil, the united states being one of them.

Another shill thread.
Reminder that taco bell meat comes in bags as a sludge, that that they place in heated water so the sludge solidifies into a brick which is then chopped up into "Ground Beef".
