Can I eat a shark?
>>7469444
Of course you can! Sharkfin soup is a delicacy in Chinese cuisine, and shark meat is used by many other cultures as well :^)
>>7469444
only if you wrestle it to death
nice trips fag
>>7469447
Shark fin is just cartilage. It has no flavor at all.

Hi /ck/, I need some delicious vegan meal ideas. Preferrably something somewhat unique. So far my ideas are some type of Mediterranean/middle eastern plate with falafel and some other stuff like tabbouleh and whatnot, or something involving some pickled veggies and something (?) more savory covered in the mushroom shallot sauce shown in that tripfag's thread who was cooking those filet mignons.
Obviously my two ideas have a lot of blanks that remain to be filled in. I was hoping you guys could give me some ideas. Thanks

there's a mediterranean plate with falafel somewhere in the 4chan competition thread right now that you should probably check.
I'd love to help but I'm not creative or talented enough to present you with something unique, sorry.
Bump for interest though, this board needs more quality vegan food.
Do you have a routine with certain meals, /ck/?
When I'm eating a meal with fries, I always eat about half the fries, eat the meal, then finish the fries.
>>7469375
No, I'm not autistic.
>>7469380
>not actively trying to maximize your enjoyment of food
>not saving some delicious fried potatoes for the end
>>7469375
I actually do this same thing. That's pretty much the only routine I can think of that I follow, though.
Everyone's always asking about how to eat well for cheap.. Well here you go, I'm poor as fuck and I'm cooking for a homeless man next door.
Pan fried pork chops, new potatoes, and green beans. Less than $3 a plate.
>>7469376
Spider!
>>7469372
Nicely done. The pork looks great, the beans look canned, and the potatoes look like potatoes.
You could have done it for a dollar though.
what is your favorite way to prepare chicken?
Marinated then cooked in oil with salsa and cheese on top.
>>7469327
>cooking with oil
Holy shit how American can you be
>>7469299
Obviously boneless chicken, wowowoo.
I like Midori a lot.
Could you recommend me other liqueurs/mixed drinks that I might like? Baileys is too strong for me.
quack
quack quack quack quack
Absinthe
Were the beef flavored fries really that good? Why cant they do that shit again?
>>7469224
They were pretty good. They don't do it anymore because fat asses with no self control blame the food, not the fact that they shoveled it down their gullets in absurd quantities.
But really I miss the chocolate soft serve more than the fries.
They weren't that good but they were much better than the bland shit they serve now.
>>7469224
My family members swear up and down that the beef tallow made them taste so much better.
Why isn't seafood considered to be meat?
Dietary restrictions from ye olden days.
According to who?
>>7469033
Half-assed vegetarians.
>Oh dude lets whip up a carbonaraa man just like they do in italia
>wow bro a bit more cream alright
>eggs? really man what are trying to do
>WOAH BRO make sure those eggs are nice and cooked you trying to give me saalmonella or something man
>>7468323
we think chicken period is gross
Raw eggs are considered potentially unsafe all over the world so I don't know what the point of this shit thread is. sage
We are fatasses who love cookie dough. We don't actually care.
Ok, so I thought I had this thing seasoned well. This was the first time I used it. I seared some scallops, then deglazed with wine. The instant the wine touched the pan it turned into this.
My seasoning was done with flaxseed oil. One coat was baked on all around at 500* for 1.5 hours. Then I added 10-15 coats to the inside bottom with it on the burner; inside surface temperature was ~450* and I waited until all smoking stopped before adding the next. After those I left it on at ~330* for 45 minutes. Then another coat was baked on all over at 450* this time for 1 hour....

>seasoned
>one coat
that's not seasoned bruh
too thick of oil
you want to wipe basically all the oil out with a paper towel so the oil layer is so minute it's practically non-existent or else the coating will flake off
>>7468230
also, you should wait for the pan to cool completely between coats
Any way to make kidneys not taste like piss?
I've tried washing them thoroughly, marinating them in wine or vinegar but they still end up with a slight tang.
Soak them over a few hours, changing the water a couple times during. It's how my grandma does it
>>7468071
Soaking in milk helps, supposedly.
>>7468071
Try eating an organ that isn't used to make piss instead.
I'm from a country where this isn't readily available.
Yet I've gotten my hands on one can of Spam.
What's the best I can get out of it ?
>>7468039
fry it on your stovetop
>>7468042
Agreed. Either eat it by itself or on a sandwich. Its taste is kinda in between ham and bacon.
Okay. What sauce goes well with it ?
Ketchup, BBQ ?
Hey co/ck/s, I'm gonna be in the US for the first time in my life, and I want to eat a shitton of unhealthy food.
In n' out and taco bell is on my list, what else should I try? I have two days, and am gonna be in Seattle/Redmond.
Where are you leaving from?
>>7468006
Czech Republic
drink super double ultra mega meme IPA beer then tell us what you think
What foods do you refuse to eat and why is that?
I eat everything but anchovies since they taste and feel like what I imagine a cat's hairball would. This is kind of strange because I love sardines. I had low quality ones on a pizza maybe I'll give them a second shot.
>>7467930
Is pic related? I love Egg's Benedict
Most seafood, something about the taste/smell/texture just doesn't work for me. I'll occasionally eat some fresh crab or lobster or some salmon or tuna but even with those I still just don't care for them most of the time.
Also most offal/organ meats unless they're chopped/minced up and mixed in with something else like pate or giblet gravy or stuffing at thanksgiving. Just trying to eat things like heart or liver or brain, it tastes like chewing on a mouthful of congealed blood to me and makes me want to vomit.
That's pretty much it though,...

Bacon with cream
That isn't bacon
