What is something I can make real quick in mornings to eat for lunch that has a lot of calories that has some veggies and protien? I am bulking and don't want to need to pay out the ass for food at school that is only 700 calories max. I have work all night too and I don't get to eat dinner unless I eat at like 4pm or 10pm, so a quick bulking meal would be great for that too. Pic unrelated

just pack a cup of peanut butter for lunch. ez 1,500 calories.

enjoy your gains bro.
>>
When you eat dinner, could you also cook some chicken breasts or thighs, chop them up, and put them in the fridge? Then in the morning, just add chopped chicken to some boxed/bagged lettuce, spinach, or arugula, may be throw in an avocado, and there you go.
>>
>>7584756

>trying to bulk
>eat chicken and spinach

dude would have to eat 6 pounds of chicken a day

Is it worth going to college for being a chef or any other kind of cook or is it in the same category as an art major or gender studies major?

waste of money. just get a job in a kitchen and bust ass and learn while you make money.

its a pretty shit/stressful job but its even worse if you are tens of thousands of dollars in debt for a culinary degree and make $13/hr

Anyone got tips on cleaning dried, moldy gravy?

I left the house and ended up not coming back for a few days. I don't have a dishwasher either.

Currently I'm just letting the gravy soak, so it might not stick anymore.

How do I make the best cornbread?

What foods do I pair with it?

Just Google recipes and try them out. If you don't like one recipe there's always another you can go for.

Fried chicken and watermelon with Coleslaw and macaroni and cheese with a side of grape juice and a mixtape would go well with cornbread.
>>
>>7584370
>use butter
>don't make it sweet
>add chopped jalapenos and top with sharp cheddar

it's best served with spicy beans and greens (mustard being a key component of the greens mix) or a good chili made from stew meat or sliced steak
>>
>>7584376

cornbread should be sweet. don't listen to this faggot.

don't put a bunch of shit in it/on.

So after years of eating lots of chowder, I've decided to try and make it on my own. I've made a handful of other soups and a couple chowders, but does anyone have any recipes or advice so I don't completely fuck this up? I know enough to fry my aromatics in bacon fat, but thats about it.

The connection when you serach "bad food" is carbs. Burgers, fries, pizzas etc. I don't see meat show up by itself at all
>>
Plebs get their image of nutrition from the idiot box.

A balanced diet of low GI veggies/grains and lean meats is the ideal.

Is there a more comfy meal than a Butterburger from Culver's and some cheese curds?

of course we can have 10 mcdonalds shill threads but no one gives a shit about muh culvers
>>
The Buffalo tendies are nice as well, and with custard and sweet potato fries
>>
Culver's is mediocre fatty beef that appeals to the literal definition of a flyover palate. Low quality meat drowned in extra fat (dat butter) and fried cheese...
Fuck. I hate all the fastfood shilling on this board.

drinks
People fill up on super cheap rice and noodles
>>
My dad is friends with a guy who supplies stuff to Chinese buffets in and around NYC. He buys wholesale goods that are just about to go off and need to be used immediately for pennies then sells them to buffets who use them within a day or two.
So that's at least part of the reason they can keep prices low. Another is the fact that none of the food, bar crab legs, is ever of high value to begin with. Broccoli, carrots, onions etc are cheap as balls as are rice, noodles and chicken. The beef they use is certainly cheaper cuts that are mechanically and chemically tenderised, which I have no problem with, and the shrimp are always tasteless, which means deep-frozen cheap-shit that you can get for like $3/lb (so I'm sure they get it for even less).

So, combine regular, on the cheap purchases of near-off foodstuffs with using lots of cheaper things to begin with and it's not hard to see how they make a profit.

Kinda off topic but I will probably be going here for a Mother's Day buffet

Enjoy your cancer.

Russula are awesome creamed, with dill.
Get in pan with some butter and let most of the water content cook off. When starting to fry, add more butter, schallots and a small amount of flour to make a roux. Don't let the onion fry as we don't want it sweet. Add cream and let thicken.
Lots of chopped dill after it's off the heat. Eat on toast.

Last couple years have been pretty disappointing for mushroom hunting.

Only way I cook them is breading that shit with a nice seasoned flour and frying them. They're amazingly addictive.

>>
>>7584173

While I agree, I live in an apartment building. I do have a balcony, but it's honestly not that big and not very practical considering I'll be selling the place soon.

I want juicy meat with nice grill marks for superior presentation.

What do family?

In my university days my roommate bought one of those, but with a glass lid. We found it to be more for convenience of putting on frozen hamburger patties and sausages.

Cleaning them was such a fucking bitch.

I plan to buy panini sandwich maker
Pic related - Russell Hobbs Paninigrill 17888-56
Anyone used it or would recommend something better?
I'll mostly use it to make sandwiches so I think it should be enough
I used smaller sandwich maker to make toasts but I found it too small to make enough food in short time period and I can't use some better kind of bread in it.

Focaccia and ciabatta are the best to make panini.
I wonder if wholegrain bread could be used as well

Hmmm. I may buy one today now Anon
>>

Flat surfaces are best, OP. That one's got ridges.

Also, fuck paninis. Just use regular bread and don't be a pretentious fuck.
