Now I know that hot food is more activated than cold food, the flavors start appearing and aren't subdued
so a room temperature tomato will taste "better" (more like a tomato) than a cold one

Many of them have beer on the menu. If you ever go there, I'm wondering whether you've ever gotten beer with your meal. It's never occurred to me to do that. Basically doubles the cost of your meal.

Just get a pressure cooker and always buy the stringiest meat with a lot of connective tissue. Cook that shit until its tender.

Rice pudding is probably the easiest.
At its most basic:
Rice, 1 cup
Salt, a pinch
Water, 4 cups
Milk, 2 cups
Sugar, to taste
Put rice, water and salt in a pot or pan and set to high heat, uncovered.
Bring to the boil and allow to cook, stirring occasionally.
When reduced and quite thick, add sugar and milk.
Dissolve sugar and allow pudding to cook down to desired thickness, then off the heat and chill.
You can also make variations to the recipe, like swapping in coconut milk for regular milk or using hot chocolate mix in place of...
