Why is GameFreak so bad at making cities in Pokemon games? Anime is shit but it at least has big, vast cities and we got shit like Ever Grande or whatever. Its fucking disgusting
Because you're not supposed to stay in the city. You are supposed to keep tackling on places where pokemon habitates, which is in nature
cities are mostly small for gameplay reasons - they must be easy to navigate in so you can get through them fast, the meat of the game are the routes

When are you supposed to use legendaries? Or are they more like trophies?
I use them in competitive shit and Battle Maison stuff.
I use them only in VGC.
But I try to avoid them, otherwise.
There's something to be said for someone who can win battles without relying on the strongest pokemon.
I see legends as compensations for lack of skill.

I'm with you, OP. I wasn't a fan of Gen III.
But then again, my own opinions are shit, too. I really liked Gen II and IV. HG/SS and Platinum are still my favorites.

It may not be specifically for the gen itself, but for what the game did. Most of us played RBY and GSC as our first games, we didn't really understand Pokemon. And it was fun. But then a new generation came and we were all a bit older so we felt that these games were gonna be awesome. And they were. New graphics, new sounds, new pokemon, everything.
