What's actually happening is the pokeball is failing the check with a number so low that the ball doesn't even hit. For mons with low catch rates put it to sleep and you'll be in easy mode with ultra balls.
So of all the unconventional evolution methods, which ones do you think are most sensible? Which do you expect/want to see more of?
