Not him, but I do. My specs are i5 4440, 960 2gb, and 8gb ddr3 ram. It runs fine most of the time, but at certain places my fps chugs in the fucking thirties. I have no idea why it does that, but in a fast paced game like doom and with such a sudden change from 55-60 to 30-35, I just can't comprehend what's going on in the game for just a second, which is enough for things to go really bad. With all the settings on low and at fucking 720p I still get that drop in those certain places. Searching around tells me that it's a problem with 2gb cards, but I'm still not sure.

The original doom is easy as fuck. You can literally play through it on Ultra Violence without even losing health, unless you get noobed by hit scan when not knowing a level.
The only reason you would even contest this, is because Doom 1993 requires exact memorization of every level and monster spawn pattern and constant moving to beat on Nightmare mode. I have done it, it doesn't make the game more fun, it's just an accomplishment few can say.
