I just started playing online. What's a good main? I suck with everyone so far, but I always switch between Link, Diddy Kong, Yoshi, Meta Knight, and Kirby.

You're in luck, this game is basically Dexfag Build: The Game so there's tons of good dex weapons and dex combos like dex+bloodtinge which is powerful as fuck.
I recommend you just wait to unlock more weapons and pick from there.

I haven't played this in a while and never played axl but can you jump before the second hit of crouching slash so the dummy doesn't go as high? Since that seems to be the issue. Other than that possibly delay HS if hitstun allows for it so they fall a little farther.
