Who here is hyped for the fucking REnaissance of Resident Evil?
Even if you don't like the new direction, you can't deny the tears of salty Nu-RE fans are delicious.
I think we can safely split RE into 3 different eras now with this.
Classic RE is RE1-3, REmake, Outbreak etc.
Nu-RE is RE4-6 plus all the spin offs of that era like ORC and such.
And now the REnaissance. This is the new beginning of RE boys, we have REmake 2 on the way and that Outbreak HD port to satisfy the classic fans, and the next main numbered title is returning to it's horror roots. Is this the beginning of the second golden age of Resident Evil?

I'll definitely play RE7 when it's out, but I'm more looking forward to REmake 2.
Nu-RE can get fucked, but I'll be extremely disappointed to see Capcom fuck up REmake 2.

I want to buy it just to show Capcom people are sick of NuRE. I want REmake 2 more as well, and hopefully a REmake 3 as well.
I think if RE7 sells well, REmake 2 will definitely be more in like with the classics over NuRE garbage.

As someone who was in the beta i can attest to them doing frequent patches. I can also attest that every nerf/buff they did was always complete overkill and either completely gutted the character or made them ridiculously OP, and they always had to go back and do another shot at it. The only character they didn't give another sweep was Zenyatta which is why he's still trash.
This does not bode well for McCree and Widowmaker. I'm sure shitters will rejoice and be happy, but people who actually understand the game will be surprised to find out these nerfs will probably be overkill and ruin the characters for a while.
But hey, let's hope maybe they're actually small little adjustments and blizzard learned their lesson from the beta.

All I need to know is if the swinging is like Spider-Man 2. That's generally my only question when it comes to any new Spider-Man game. If the answer is no, it's not worth my time.

Had a similar experience. Thought it looked good but I knew there was something missing. Finally when they started shooting the AR I knew it was Call of Duty. Still, I can't say I wasn't impressed. Game looked good, at least in that sequence.
