Whatever happened to movies that invoked wonder and idealism? I saw this film on TBS back in 1998 as a kid and loved it more than Star Wars. The trailers and OST really sell the sense of awe and adventure.

Snoke is the same species as Plagius, and possibly *is* Plagius, although that would mean Sheev half-asses his master's assassination. It would explain what looks like a lightsaber wound in Snoke's forehead but he could really just be some force-sensitive prick from the Banking Clan species that found some old Sith manuals or something.

Episode VII basically diminishes everything that happened in Episodes IV, V and VI.

Only after the Mary Sue showed up is that Han Solo decided to do something about his son.
Jesus Christ. The more I think about Episode VII, the more I realize the movie's problems were much bigger than simply having a by-the-numbers soundtrack compared to previous SW motion pictures, Marvel quips all over the script (including too much nostalgia) and using bland locations, like a random Ireland isle, in a space opera.
