What are some films that really communicate the fear, the threat, or act of death?
Are there any films (besides Enter The Void) that similarly explore the experience of death itself without any religious elements? I'm not so much interested in the after-life as the final experiences of a dying mind.

You may perhaps be interested in Ikiru and The Fire Within, these two movies explore the process of adjudicating impending death.

*It got shelved because Russel moved to Australia, RTD did other things
*When Torchwood finally went through this year they decided to not right away do the Season 5 in audio, but do 1 or 2 series in a more anthology format

Just finished watching the original Star Wars trilogy for the first time, here's my fucking rating for it...
A New Hope: 5/10
Teenage Luke is annoying as hell and the fighting scenes are boring too, not to mention the annoyingly bitchy Leia. I like Han and R2D2 a lot though, they're pretty funny. Boring movie but Han and R2D2 kind of redeems it.
The Empire Strikes Back: 8/10
Han and R2D2 become increasingly annoying as the movie progresses. All of the kissing scenes with Fisher look faked and forced and she's probably a bad kisser in real life too. Luke and Yoda make up for her shitty acting with their comedy and the epic Vader/Luke fighting scene. Luckily, the good cancels out the bad.
Return of The Jedi: 3/10
Holy shit this movie is annoying. The Ewoks are annoying, Han is annoying, R2D2 is annoying, LeiaxHan's romance is annoying, even the fucking fighting scenes are annoying. Everything that has to do with Luke is pure gold but everything else is so fucking annoying that Luke doesn't even compare. The fight between Darth Sidious and Darth Vader is so fucking gay, he literally picks Sidious up and throws him into an abyss while Sidious just stiffens up like a board, shrieks and does absolutely NOTHING and somehow Vader still dies. The good couldn't possibly cancel out the bad in this shitty movie. Who thought this movie was a good idea?
Conclusion: They should of made the fighting scenes in ANH more exciting, Leia should of never been such a prominent character, Han should of been killed off in the second movie or been rewrote so he wasn't so fucking cheesy, and the fight between Sidious and Vader should of been rewrote too so it wasn't so fucking lame.
Sorry for the blog post, Desu. What's your opinion on the original trilogy though?
