Are tables with a sunken surface somehow better for gaming?
I always see this with gaming tables, but I've only used card tables.
Dice are far less likely to roll off a sunken table.

Most of the sunken surface table designs mean fewer lost dice / game parts as they're far less likely to be dropped off the table, and many have a cover for the sunken area allowing a game to be covered and resumed later while still using the table normally otherwise.

Worm wholes/space gates/jump points for me, space trade lanes, choke points etc, it makes for interesting dynamics if the majority of space ships have to pass for them, like blockades.
Anyone has tried Full Thrust Continium? It seems an oldie game but interesting in the way than you can make nearly an kind of ship.

I've decided that I have a burnout of all things Heroic Fantasy has to offer. I can't play or GM it anymore for lengthy periods of time.
Is this normal? Anyone else has similar thing happening to them?
Just to be clear, I started back in the day (maybe 15 years ago) with AD&D 2ED and played and DMed a lot of Heroic Fantasy settings and systems.

Change genres for a few months or years, then read or watch a heroic fantasy story that seems fresh to you, then you'll enjoy the genre again.
Roleplaying in general is kinda lame if you lead an exciting life and have real adventures.
So maybe try some of that?

I'm setting out into playing D&D for the first time. I'm getting a group together to play, but it might possibly be more convenient for all of us to play via webcam/Skype. I've been watching groups play online (i.e. Acq Inc, Dice, Camera, Action, etc.), and I was wondering if any of you knew what program/software they use to apply the overlays, arrange the webcam feeds, and everything.
