“Okay, everyone!” Everyone was gathered around the Sherman, looking up at Griselda and her crewmates. “So, a couple of announcements. One, I’d like to extend a cordial welcome to our newest crew, the uh…” Everyone looks over at the girls standing next to their motorbikes. They don’t seem very honored or very excited to be where they are. “… LGA Motorcycle Club.” Everyone politely applauds them, to which the girls wave back politely.
Mostly forced, but hey, what are you gonna do.
“Okay, second order of business. Today we do have our practice, we will be holding that at the Tank HQ this time.” Everyone looks around nervously. “Don’t worry, today we’ll only be doing physical exercises with our bodies, not with our tanks. Miss McPherson will be lecturing on proper technique, she’s not here but she’ll meet us there.” She claps her hands proudly. “And lastly, tomorrow is Media Day.”
Serafina raises her hand. “What is this media day?”
“Media Day happens to be NATO catching up to us and taking our pictures, along with photographers from Topps as well.” Everyone gasps, now suddenly excited. “You all already have used your photos on file for the tournament so far but these will be your official portraits used in match broadcasts. Normally this would happen before the tournament but uh…” She shrugs. “This team was formed on short notice so-“
Regina Taney raises her hand. “Can we wear swimsuits?”
“Do we have to wear our uniforms!?”
“Can we get some custom photos done!?”
“I want to borrow Elodie’s horse!”
“Can we get photos of you, Griselda?!”

Griselda tries to calm them down. “Easy, easy, everybody. I’ll answer those questions later.” She sighs. “You’re all dismissed.” Everyone starts excitedly chattering, happy as can be.
“Oooh, Media Day!” Winona bites her lip, slapping her cheeks as she sways around in excitement. “Ooh, I can’t wait! I gotta buy some new outfits!” She gasps. “NO! I have to buy something for Cuddles to wear too!”
“Cuddles is a snake,” says Ingrid.
“Really, I hadn’t noticed.” Winona pouts furiously. “I want Cuddles to be part of Media Day, that’s that.”
“What about your horse, Elodie?” Your what? “You gonna bring that to Media Day?” asks Stack.
“What- no!” You frown. “Why would I bring that horse? It’s not even mine!”
“Yes it is,” says Josephina. “Didn’t Carolina give it to you?”
“It’s- It’s not my horse!” you yell. Ugh, jeez.
Winona smiles. “Did you want to come with me and pick up some clothes? Make up? Swimsuits…?” She smirks smugly.

Welcome back, to the 41st installment of Mecha Space Pirate Quest. Y-yes I know the pastebins weren't updated, I had a lot of things to stat and figure out. As always, you are Admiral Roarke Starwind of the Iron Kestrels, and you are about to reach Mars.

You've seen very, very old pictures of Mars, back when it was cold and red and thoroughly dead. You've also seen a few pre-war pictures too, when it was a paradise of greenery, steppelands and lush forests and shallow seas full of strange customized plant and animal forms. Mars has, over the course of its lifetime, gone from being the Red Planet to the Green Planet and had both its moons crashed into it and replaced with artificial satellites. Now, you're not really sure what to call it. Parts of it are still green, but swathes of the sphere are a dusty orange-red, as though some titanic hand clawed away the greenery in places to reveal the harsh desert beneath. Karen is staring at it in awe, leaning against you and ignoring the jealous looks she's getting from Red Siren.
"A real world." She murmurs, the colors reflected in the lenses of her spectacles. Plenty of pirates were born on a planet, or on one of the colonies orbiting one (or in your case, a colony orbiting one of the moons of a planet), but few ever come back once they start racking up a bounty. These centers of civilization are dangerous.
"Where are all the warships?" The pilot says, hunched over her instruments as if expecting a dozen Martian cruisers to gate out around the little transport any second now.

Nation Name: The Devil Ant Nests
Nation Race(s): Devil Ants (mutated ants)
Color: Blue
Fluff: The Devil ants were once ants carried over as food for colonists during the long trip to Nibiru. The colony did not survive, but the ants did. The ants mutated, gaining in size and complexity as well as overall intelligence shown in complex planning and operations. As well the Devil ants became more adept at noticing mutations within their number. This new species has created a nest where the old colony once stood, stretching deep and wide below the surface.

Question about the sympathetic casting/conditional duration attainment.
Does the attainment allow you to substitute mana for reach to cast at sensory range?
For the conditional duration does the rank increase also apply for advanced duration? What if a 'common occurrence' is longer than the duration increase.
For example I cast a Mind 2 normal duration sleep spell on a security guard with the condition that he sleeps until the sun rises. That's more than likely that's a certainty but dawn being a couple hours away may not qualify for immediate. Would he doze until dawn or for like 10 turns?

>Okay, she's good with mechanics... but how does she know how to fly a space freighter like an ace? ANH had the throwaway line about the T-16 and whomp rats, which gave a serviceable explanation for why Luke was a skilled pilot. That's just one example of the failures in TFA's script and, by extension, Rey's character.
Rey has a flight simulator she salvaged and set up in her AT-AT home. Basically she spent her childhood playing video games in a machine designed to teach you to fly. If it's a Rebel flight simulator it likely includes freighter class since a lot of their warships were repurposed commercial vessels.
That's from a canon short story, the novelization of TFA, the TFA Visual Dictionary, and I'm pretty sure she mentions it in the movie after she and Finn destroy the TIEs but they're hyper excited and talking over each other so it's hard to tell.
She basically knows the Falcon's setup because she's one of the scavengers Unkar Plutt hired to do modifications for him, but she'd never flown it and indeed nearly crashes it several times early on. Actually she does hit a few things. As for flying through a ship she picked a derelict she knew from scavving that was open enough to accommodate the Falcon. Her exceptional piloting skills at the end of the fight, as well as her other maneuvers, are actually an early sign that she's Force sensitive without telling us ahead of time like they did with little Anakin pre-Podracer scenes. You can get this when both she and Finn are chattering their amazement at how their moves synced together to defeat their enemies. They don't know why but the reason is the Force was being her - subconscious - guide. We already know Rey (and perhaps Finn too) were awakening to the Force on Jakku because that's what Snoke was talking with Kylo Ren about. Awakening was his exact word, too.
Not saying it's a well done scene but this is what they were trying to do. JJ is a hack.

Super-Catachan Edition
https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Imperium_Asunder
It is the 41st Millennium. For more than a hundred centuries the Galaxy has been beset by strife and torn by war. The Emperor, who had once dreamed of uniting the Galaxy under His banner, is long dead. Half of the Primarchs, his demigod sons turned against him, and in a climactic battle on Terra the Emperor was cast down. With his death, Terra was consumed by a Warpstorm and half the Imperium fell forever under the shadow of Chaos.
The Dark Imperium reigns in the ring of Segmentum Solar, where the watchful Eyes of the Warmaster consume the souls of the weak. A 1984 state of utter madness where groupthink doesn't even begin to describe things. The Warmaster's agents could be anywhere, and you can be sure they are watching you at all times. Dark foundries churn out metric gigatons of munitions for the Long War, Temples to the Gods of Chaos are found on every street and Daemons lurk in the shadows. Those who grow tired or too weak to work are never heard from again. Those who ask questions are never heard from again. Those who deviate, those who hesitate, all who are doubted even a hair, are never heard from again. Men who whisper dark rumors about the dark things that happen to those who are never heard from again, are never heard from again.
Surrounding the 'ordered' heartland of the Dark Imperium is the Chaos Marches, a screaming anarchy comprising hundreds of chaos warlord states. Some are ruled by Veterans of the Long War that still wear the colors of their legions, but most are ruled by warbands of outcasts, exiles and dissidents with their own ways. Some of these states may last for centures or millenia, while others rise and fall in a matter of years. The borders between them are constantly shifting as Warlords rise and fall. The citizens of this area live in permanent fear that the Angels of Hell may come from the skies to reap and enslave, to sacrifice and feast.
From last thread:
Falk knew not what crime the populace of Drügal 6 had committed, only that they had incurred the warmaster's wrath. Their commissar had led Falk's squad in prayer to the Four before the battle so that they may survive to bring glory to the Warmaster and sight to His eyes. Imperial Army soldiers were taught that the enemies of the Imperium were disorganized and disheveled, but their foes on that day wore uniforms and seemed to have the demeanor of professional soldiers. Falk had assumed they would be ill-equipped, but that was before half of his squad were wiped out by a burst from a heavy bolter emplacement as they tried to storm a dug in position. His faith in the Four and the Warmaster was bolstered when he saw meteors rocket to the surface from space and the commissar told him that his squad would be able to say that they had fought alongside the Warmaster's own angels.
The commissar was dead now, torn to shreds by the guns of the angels as he had strode out to meet them. With the angels was a mechanical monstrosity that roared with a fury that shook the earth and forced Falk to the ground, holding his ears and howling in pain. Falk watched as the support chimera was torn in half by the massive sword wielded by the metal monster, as the angels smote his squad with bolter-fire. Falk could not move as he was held in the cold metallic embrace of a massive power claw, his faith in the Four well and truly fled. The last thing Falk did was ask for an explanation for the angels' actions, and the last thing he felt was terror at the answer.
"We are the angels of the true Emperor. This world has been returned to His light, and the chains of the Warmaster have been cast off. The punishment for treason is purgation."
"Death to the false Imperium!"

Also from last thread: 1/2
Captain Gaspar Armistead stood on the embarcation deck of the Executioner, flagship of the 46th expeditionary fleet, and personal vessel to Balthasar the Bloody. The Gloriana class ship floated elegantly in high orbit above the planet 46-8. 46 because of the fleet which discovered it, and 8 because it was the 8th world discovered by that fleet. Gaspar's men had taken to calling the planet Octarius, and now that the Remembrancers had heard it, the name was likely to stick. Gaspar himself stood on a gantry overlooking the rows of Thunderhawk dropships filling the deck. His armor was the deep red of wet blood. Speckles of dried blood, deliberately left uncleaned, made a camoflage pattern across the red plate. He wore no helm, instead favoring an eye-mounted auspex. Strong across the top of his power pack and over his shoulder was a long black cloak made of fine, dagger-sharp quills. On his equipment belt were two blades, one crimson, and one black. The crimson blade was a sawtoothed beast, three feet long and with a chainblade which could tear a man apart in seconds. The black sword was simple thing, its blade apparently of knapped flint, and its hilt of unpolished gold.

I'm here today because an anon posted pic related, and it sparked an idea. As a former fa/tg/uy, I'm thinking about creating, compiling, and making patches that are /tg/ themed, focusing on 40k for right now, that are grounded in modern day patch aesthetics and design.
I'm here to gauge interest, since you guys are pretty much the target market, and to gather thoughts and opinions. Let me know what you'd like to see, if you'd buy patches that are /tg/ themed, if you think it's a good idea, and just your general thoughts on the matter.
For reference, most patches run about $3.99-$5.99, depending on size.

>niche market patch patches
Goddamn it. Off to a great start already. Proof read your posts kids.
Anyway, pic related is another example, this time LOTR themed.
Note that I did not make these designs and they are not indicative of final products. This is just a kernel of an idea I've come up with, this isn't even in the "beginning" stage yet. I'm just here to see if I should pursue it any further or not. That being said, I'm very excited at the prospect, and hope this receives a good response, as it's something I'd very much like to see, and do.

Pic related are patches that I already own and have sewn on to things, for reference. They are hook and loop backed, and very high quality, durable patches, which I intend to replicate should I start making patches.
>forgot to turn name back on
Batting 1000 here already.

The price is about right... do you need minimum quantities to make a run or anything? What about design costs?
Time to confess your sins and reveal your secret shames from tabletops.
I'll start with one of mine.I used someone's ERP character for a villain in my last campaign. Totally unchanged.
Rifts is my favorite game
Okay, op, you've got to explain that shit. How did that even work?

There was this f-list profile I found in /tg/ back when it had ERP threads. Someone linked this evil empress villain profile, and for some reason it really spoke to me. So I just straight up stole the character and used her as a villain.
I did, however, leave out the part where she had a dick. At least, explicitly. Not like the players ever fucked her.
