I am probably missing something. I've been trying to wrap my head around tbe space combat system in Rogue Trader, and I THINK I've got it. But one question still puzzles me: what's the point of Lance weapons? Why would I ever mount a Lance on a ship instead of an extra Macrobattery? What's the advantage?

I have a player who wants to use http://www.naturalcrit.com/homebrew/share/V1nPgkChx to make a were-cat. It seems pretty balanced as far as these things go and decent handling of a were.
I am running Curse of Strahd and she has been bitten before this. I am planning on running Death House and I thought it would be interesting to have her lose control the first time of her change. How would you handle this? Anyone with experience of CoS have an idea of where this change should best take place? I thought it might be good and horror-y to have it interrupt a long rest.

The tiefling I am currently playing in my just-started Hell's Vengeance game has the Pass as Human alternate racial trait, and the only hints of his heritage are his horns (they're SUPER flat and stubby, as well as protruding from his scalp) and generally are hidden by his rather short hair) and his amber-colored eyes.
My MOST non-traditional tiefling was this guy right here.

You descend the stone staircase to the cellar, where you keep both your prized collection of fine wine and whiskey, and your prized collection of mages. As you step through the stone arch at the foot of the stairs, you see the cluttered mess of tables, desks, beakers, flasks, piles of notes and reference texts, and of course good old fashioned snack bags and dirty ramen cups. You scoot past a stain that you hope isn't anything bodily, and make your way toward the desk where Gilbert is spread out like a corpse. His snoring is terrible, and his drool is pooling by his mouth. When you get close enough, you can almost certainly smell cheap wine wafting up from his gullet. You reach out a hand and shake him awake. He rouses with a start, reaching for a scalpel near his left hand and waving it around frantically.
"Ah! I knew you'd come for me one day you sons of- eh? Oh, it's you, my dark lord. Sorry about the mess," he motions to everything in the room, "Caitlyn was supposed to tidy up. Caitlyn! Where are you girly!?"
You hear shuffling, and turn to see a pile of crumpled notes collapse as a teenage girl in a steepled hat and glasses rises drunkenly from her resting place. She rubs her eyes under her spectacles and adjusts her shifted robes before stumbling to her feet and curtsying.
"My dark lord," she grumbles, still half asleep, and wanders over to find a broom near the wall.
