"WAKE!" You hear a voice boom from somewhere near you.
You groggily open your eyes and look around. You are on a round platform somewhere in the Heavens, the ground feels like marble and you slowly get to your feet.
You get up and your eyes start to adjust to the brightness. You see pillars of stone extending from below the clouds, seemingly endless below but with a figure perched atop. Around you stands a pantheon of Gods, each imposing in their own way.
You start to recognize them, around you stand 5 of the 6 primary gods of the realm: Orim,...

High above the treetops in a faraway jungle is rumored to sit a legendary civilaztion in a finely crafted wood palace protected from any angle of infiltration. Until now as it is said to be falling apart and has just revealed an opening into this forbidden zone. With the local cultures worship of fierce animal deities, what might be found in this castle of mystery? It's jungle giants
What's the trick to effectively role-playing a character afflicted by mental illness (insanity)?
>>46235448
You don't, because if you don't have a mental illness yourself, your portrayal of it is just going to boil down to "LOL SO RANDUMB!" and probably piss off everyone else at the table.
>>46235448
First and foremost: don't make it define the character or his/her behavior
>>46235448
Method acting.
Get yourself submitted to a mental health ward for 3 months.
Then you will be ready.
What does /tg/ think of MYFAROG, the tabletop rpg from infamous murderer and black metal musician, Varg Vikernes?
Is it any good?
>>46235294
It's really not too good. Very heavily inserts political leanings of the author into the system, which a lot of /tg/ doesn't like, similar to Eclipse Phase.
Combat itself is very deadly, it's chock full of rules that bog the game down, takes ages to do things.
Overall not really a fantastic system.
>>46235397
I guess I got my answer then. Was it really that bad? I honestly had no opinion on it, and had never given much thought to tabletops at all until I saw that one of /mu/'s favorite musicians had made one.
I couldn't tell you the difference between a dark elf and a slaneesh, I'm that new, so it was no deliberate trolling on my part.
>>46235498
Assuming you're bing honest, the short version is that the system is pretty weak mechanically. The long version is that the system is weak mechanically AND it's basically a soapbox for the author's political views, some of which border on "WHITE MASTER RACE, KILL ALL THE MUD-PEOPLES!" at times.
Has there ever been a false god in your setting with a large following?
>>46234901
What, like all of them?

This
>>46234901
Pretty much the entire Dragon Civilization was made of false gods. Their human slaves were ordered to worship them, blah blah... Pretty shitty stuff because dragons in the setting tend to be assholes.
Luckly, their civilization has long collapsed.
When have your players done something that just made you just plain happy with their shenanigans.

You stumble groggily along the corridor and rub the sleep from your eyes. The mansion is in an uproar and everyone else besides you seems to have somewhere to be. People bustle past you and you watch as the place steadily empties.
It’s going to take a few hours to get moving but Hiss was serious when she woke you up. She’s moving everyone out. You suppose that’ll include you too.
Mobilizing an army isn’t something you can do lightly however. You still have plenty of time.

Welcome one, and I welcome you all to the tale of a world called Thespia.
Here is the odyssey of one that clings to this world with no face of their own! In a place where magic is fundamental to all of creation, all who live wear their lives upon their face, where a fire might wish to be the cooking fire of an inn!
The Faceless overcame the tyrant lord of Bikel, Stephan Grant, son of Mikael Grant. Thus, while wearing the face of the vengeful spirit "The Reaper of Aurel" otherwise known as Dramir, a story in the world of Thespia comes to an end as a hero...

The threads of a monster unravel and rejoin with the great weave that is Thespia, flowing back into her primordial womb, the monster ceases to exist in this world. Burned, Flayed, stabbed, and finally torn to ribbons once it exhausted its many lives tearing itself apart. The Beast is dead.
As you lay upon the forest floor, you feel the many voices of that monster's threads calling out in a harmonious requiem. The thespians that were devoured, and even the wolves that ate them can now rest. Sucking in a crisp breath of the night's air, you breath out with a deep...

You feel your face flush, and heart skip a beat, suddenly letting go. Something about this suddenly feeling wrong to you. Odette notices your troubled thoughts quickly when you stop walking.
“Beli? What's the matter?”
“I...” You look away, still blushing heavily. Your breath a little hot. “I'm not sure. It's nothing, let's get back to the village, okay?”
As you run ahead, Odette watches your back, her smile fading as she mulls over what could have possibly bothered...

In D&D 10 INT is the average for a farmer or barely educated peasant. What would a modern B average high school student be rated comparatively to that?
>>46228710
INT != knowlege
You can be dumb as a brick and get through school
You can be really smart and live a simple farmers life
It's a difference of knowledge and lore checks
>>46228710
10 INT.
Intelligence isn't what you know, it's how well you learn and apply information. An ignorant genius still has higher INT than a Jeopardy savant, because that savant can only apply his knowledge to a single purpose.
>>46228710
>farmer or barely educated peasant
Where did this assumption come from? There's nothing in the rules that says that. IIRC 10 is just for anyone who's not a PC or otherwise important.

>Some idea on what's going on:
I had this idea of making a really complex and integrated story about Imperial factions after a major crusade. Considering the size of the galaxy a crusade must require thousands of regiments and hundreds of Chapters to conduct. Which also leaves them with spoils of war in the end. I could have just populate the whole thing from my drafts but I figured it would be more fun and challenging to fill the factions with anon made ones. So here we are.

To clarify a few things:
I'm only creating this new thread because Genius is obviously not disponible for now.
That does NOT mean I take over in any sense.
You guys can keep creating factions.
is there a google doc of the various factions up yet?
