If he's got that much trouble reading English than just do other things with him, DnD is fun but there are other alternatives for hanging out.
About to do my first game of RIFTS and I decided to play a character from the Splicers book. Having trouble picking out a pic for my character so I thought it'd be a good idea to start a character art thread about living armor of the fleshy variety.
Dump whatever pics you have of characters wearing organic living armor and while you're at it take the time to discuss/shitpost about living armor in general if you want.

My 3 year old daughter fell in love with the orcs and we played with them a bit before she went to sleep.
After tucking her in we talked a bit and she asked me if I could get her a girl orc too. And of course I HAVE TO get her one.
So dear /tg, I ask you if there are any non-hypersexualised woman/girl orc miniatures out there..
The ones I've found seem to be in the "big boobs & skimpy clothing" or "ugly as shit hag" categories...

Yeah desu OP you'd have better luck looking for bestial elves and painting them green than searching in vain for cute Orcs.
Most mini companies stick with very brutish-style Orcs, and only a handful do females of any description.

What is the best dnd edition?
I would like to run a campaign with a group that just wants to build a fort, paid for by adventuring exploring tombs/ruins.

focusing on the build a fort bit,
3rd edition had leadership as a feat that gave you an army of goons.
Second edition had it as a class feature for fighters.
pathfinder has ultimate campaign a sourcebook specifically for dealing with base construction that would easily work in 3rd or 5th edition, opinions on it are mixed.
4th edition made everyone mostly self sustaining and really didn't feel like you needed a party to do things.
5th edition is stripped down and simplistic, on...

It strikes me that that Commoragh is one of the few genuinely interesting places in W40k and one of the few places that could be described as genuinely cosmopolitan (although ruled by insane vampiric lords and ladies who torture people for shits). Older Archons require the deaths of hundreds a day to stave off the ravages of the thirst. Butchering a trusted servant is tiresome in that it does not leave the Archon fulfilled and then forces them to find a replacement as efficient as the last. In this manner, working in the house of older more powerful Archons is possibly one of the safest positions in the Dark City. For status, DE enjoy capturing and breaking members of the Adeptus Astartes (the Emperors Space Marines) but this is mostly for their own jaded satisfaction. I much preferred Commoragh back in the 3e codes, and fluff hints from the DE section of the website (remember that cool story that an Archon tells his human captive, but never finishes.) It was so much cooler when it was vaguely hinted at that the capture and torture of lesser races had something to do with how the DE escaped Slaanesh without soulstones, but was never confirmed, and could very well have been the Archon just fucking with his captive, and actually have nothing to do with it at all, and in-fact just be something they do for fun in addition to staving off Slaanesh...

What do your players do with all that money at the end of a campaign?
Try to money-launder it into their next characters.
For example, one took an "apprentice", bought him lodsagear, and then played that apprentice in the next campaign. Another buried it, and had their next character start with a treasure map. A third sneakily asked me where I wanted to run my next campaign and hid a cache of spellbooks in a library nearby.
It failed, of course, because I'm the DM. The spellbooks and treasure were dug up by the BBEG and the apprentice got robbed on day 1. Now their enemies have all the gear they tried to give to their successors.

The tl;dr is that there was CYOA threads where people picked from like, 5 or 6 stereotype classes to "adventure" with, and there used to be stats to fuel discussion. It's basically all worthless and for the sake of discussion, nobody actually ran anything to my knowledge.
And then it took off and people started adding more and more cliche characters and building fanfiction and eventually people tried building an RPG but it failed and the dev team only made a cheap Castlevania arcade game of some sort.
Doubt it's active, last I heard the artist or something went to work on a scam porn game
