Has anyone considered creating a campaign set in the 1984 setting?
I'd imagine it would be very heavy into rollplaying and insta pk due to the thought police which might not be everyones piece of cake.
I've been mulling it over and i remember that the glossary mentioned that the insoc gov't eventually fell so i can give players a fair chance at survival.
Tl;dr help me create a 1984 campaign.

Also, if anyone has links they can reccomend on everyday life under a dictatorship that would be welcome.
I mean, if you play Paranoia full on seriously (which is a thing if I recall correctly) it comes pretty close I guess. Not sure if there's a 1984 specific setting/rulebook floating about in the PDF share thread, or even in existence.
If you dug a bit into independent news sources you'd find you're already playing one.

I imagine we take a warboss with mega armor, cybork body, attack squig, an ammo runt and a bosspole. But i don't know if there's anything else we can do to make it more powerful.
You put one in a stompah and convince him its him
>>47112989
The problem there is that you can't do that much with a stompa, other than having it be a stompa.
Give the enemy silenced weapons.
How balanced are the factions in your setting?
>>47110525
Do you count random old hermits who could flatten cities in the factions where their homes reside?
>>47110672
Hermits keep to themselves, so that's not really a faction.
Unless there is an association of hermits

Or report him to the Inquisition as a suspicious potential psyker able to modify probability.

If you practice a lot, and I mean a lot, you can generally choose where a die will fall. You won't roll 20/20 20's, but you can increase the amount you would normally roll by a bit.
Then you look like a prick adjusting what facing is where when you roll and shit.
>that one girl who can't control her good fortune
What was the /tg/ crowd (or closest thing to one) at your high school like? Stereotypical neckbeards and autists? LAWLSORANDUMB and OW THE EDGE nu-nerds? Surprisingly decent people?
>>47105593
There were none. The closest was a dude who liked wolves and cosplayed Columbine every day.
He still does that. He's a freelance DJ, which is a weird way to say "unemployed"
>>47105621
>cosplayed Columbine

It means he wore black leather trenchcoats and looked like someone from the Columbine shooting/Matrix you dumb faggot. Even I knew what he was talking about.
How am I supposed to play a halfling or gnome in a good way that isn't boring
>>47072741
How would you play anything else in a good way that is not boring?
>>47072757
ivdont know ivonko!
>>47072741
Play a human midget that hates halflings, and is often mistaken for a halfling. Or might be a halfling and insists he is not. Keep it light. Like a quasi-halfling Uncle Ruckus.
Whenever something bad happens or you get bad rolls, make your character bitterly remark to himself, "I bet the halflings did this."
How do you feel about Maro admitting that BFZ was a mistake?

Apologies mean nothing without reparations.

Admitting mistakes is what breeds success. I am glad he is willing to admit BFZ got fucked
>Time Spiral was a mistake
Huh?
What opinions do you have that you know /tg/ hates with a passion?
Favorite systems you know are almost unanimously hated here?
Etc.

CthulhuTech. 2e fixed the pokerdice, and the fetish shit isn't required in any setting, so we leave it all out.

no. They've resurrected the old black reach sprues and some other old kits with simplified rules and cheapish prices too go in toy stores to try get more people into the hobby

But... thats a good move forward. Isnt it? It even includes paint, brush, and glue right in the box. I must be having a stroke, I must be heading to valhalla

yes. recently GW has been turning things around. They've also been more open in communications with gamers and shown that they are listening too demand (upcominng points cost system for AoS comes too mind)

With their tragically brief time in the company of Sir Denim concluded, Dyrus and the rest of Lady Hauteclere's revolutionaries get used to the fact that the VERY different Chief Paisley is their ally for the time being. The very same morning that Denim's duel ended in his death, everyone was heading Northeast, into desert Gerxel territory. "We had thought it wise that we avoid slighting the desert region," Hauteclere explains to no avail, "and that Director Cato might even abstain from aiding the rest of the Empire if left ignored..."

Huh. Perspective shift.
Do we have IFF that will interface properly with U.S. Missiles?
>>47173099
If we've got IFF, then I'd say got for it - IR or radar, we aren't going to look much like a Fort-class. Well want to stay low, below Fort-Body-Height and make sure that we keep are transponders facing the missiles.
