Japan would utterly rule the 2d animation industry.
Sakuga fans rejoice.
fyi it was in the 80s that cartoons outsourced to Japan for animation work. A lot were intros and others were cuts that would be utterly budget-breaking for burger animators (not to mention skill).

I've got a couple of quick questions:
Are the new Space Marine bits compatible with the 4e ones, or are the new models (the 32mm based ones) larger?
Would it make more sense to cut the bits off the sprue and organize them in a bits box before building, or keep them on the sprue and cut them out as I go?

>>Information
This quest, as the title suggests, takes place in the world of Dragon Ball. You're playing as a thirteen year old boy named Tofoo, and will adventure through the story of the Dragonball series alongside characters such as Goku, Yamcha, Bulma, Tien, and many others. Through your actions, you can make significant changes to the story, and perhaps even become the strongest fighter on Earth.
>Rules
At the end of each update you'll have ten minutes to vote on options. Write-ins are allowed, but I do reserve the right to veto them.
In the event of a draw, the option to receive the next vote wins
Rolls will be used on certain occasions, such as attempting a technique for the first time or attempting something extremely difficult. You will have three rolls, and if one succeeds, you succeed. There are no crits.
Rolls are made AFTER an option wins, not during the voting process
I hope everyone has fun.

Let's rock
The climb up Korin Tower takes nearly a day.
Without your training clothes, it should only take an hour, two at the most, but you've been beaten pretty badly. It feels just like the first time you climbed the tower alongside Goku, after your near-death experience at the hands of Tao. You aren't hurt that badly, so it doesn't take quite as long this time, but the better part of a day passes before you can spot the top.
Upon climbing inside, you collapse to the floor, raising your head to look around for Korin.
You can't see him, but you can hear his laughter from above, along with Krillin's cries of exertion and frustration, presumably as he tries to take the water. It seems your friend is having about as much luck as you and Goku did at first.
Picking yourself up, you stagger toward the stairs leading to the topmost area of the tower, stopping as you see Korin appear atop them.
The cat gives you a smile, fading away as Krillin passes through him with another failed attempt to grab the water.
Your friend lands on the railing, windmilling his arms before falling forward with a yell, plummeting from the tower.
"Hehe, I love doing that," you hear a voice say beside you.
Looking over, you see Korin, staring up the stairs where Krillin vanished.
"So, I see your little adventure hasn't gone as planned," he says.

"Sotetwood" the old iron sign sunk into the utterly massive tree trunk reads. There's a tunnel carved out into the middle of it, but light only touches the first couple of feet of it, and the rest is covered with darkness and shadows as thick as night, even though the sun is up high in the sky.
Though I can see vague forms inside of it, like bodies fused into the sides of the tunnel in the middle of screaming pain, or arching in pleasure? well which ever it is, it's creepy, really creepy.
"Hate this place" Kelly growls, suddenly lopping over to my side as Lady Spinespreaker holds onto the Caravan like she's trying to hold its hand, making it tilts slightly "Smells of wrong"
"Please stop that!" Iris says sternly, and a little harshly, making the troll let "You're making everything slide around in here"
"My apologies" The troll says, her thundering voice watered down to a meek squeak "I just really don't want to walk into a place like that"
Kelly nods, crouching down and grinding her fangs together as she crosses her arms, and stares down the tunnel.
"Soooo" I say, trying to break up all the awkwardness that's started to ruin this wonderfully bright morning day "That town's through there isn't it? Well can't say this is the nicest welcome mat I've seen"
"Flower is right for once" Kelly grumbles, slamming her fist into the ground angrily "Smells like salted death"
"Funny" I say calmly, closing my eyes and sighing as a cold breeze washes over my face "All I can smell is sap and mud"
"It's warded to keep beasts out" Iris says, stepping out of the rv.
Her hair is a mess from getting rocked back and forth by the cowardly troll, and if her blood covered shirt is anything to go by, she was having breakfast when she fell back. And she doesn't seem too happy about that at all.

"And Kelly is about halfway to being one, so it makes sense she's put of by it" She continues, adjusting her glasses as she walk
"And how do you know that?" I ask looking at my master as she stares down the tunnel
"I read a book" she says flatly "well, it was more of a travel brochure to be honest, but it was really rather interesting, but enough standing around, lets get going"

You are River la Croix, and you're pretty sure this half-angel is not out of fight to give you.
You took the bait once, in a battlefield years ago, in the rain and mud. You should have died, but the one who'd tricked you was ran through the back by mistake, and you lived instead of her.
This time, you're going to be careful.
>>48234783
"Who says I want to have a fight?" you ask. "There's more to being a god than temples and cults, isn't there? Even if it's just worship you're after, there's lovers and poets the world over with legions falling at their feet. Why a goddess?"
"Why /not/?" the Daughter demands. "I bring the rain and the drought. I call the snow and the flood, the storm and the calm, part hurricanes before my will, bless the spring and make it holy. These powers are /mine/. My /father/ could not take them from me. Who are the gods, anyway? They and their bastard offspring lord over us like highborn dogs, laughing as we scurry to and fro, and we obey."
<I sense a hint of bitterness> Robert notes, mildly.
"And you would, what, be a mortal voice in the councils of the gods?" you ask, warily. "Don't they have Chosen for that?"
"Obedient wolves, there to herd the rest of the sheep," Seraphina snarls.
"You really think the Master is going to keep his word? He's enslaved one angel already. He'll enslave you just the same."
"I. AM. A. GOD!" a blast of wind erupts from Seraphina, driving you back on your feet and flickering the flames that keep her hemmed into Cannot Hold. Behind her, you see Tina thrust her hand into the flame, preparing for battle.
"Do you think his audacity ends there?" you shout, over the gale. "You think you come out of this on top?"
>>48235020
"He wouldn't /dare/," Seraphina insists. She takes a step over the hexacle, her wings bristling with fury. The water that drips from them freezes, becoming long, sharp icicles. "I would tear him apart."
"Which is why you're the meatshield, and he's safe at the bottom of the Dungeon."
<Are we killing her or not?> Robert asks.
"I am his partner! His collaborator! He /adores/ me, /worships/ me, his new world will be his bridal gift to /me/, and nevermind that coward Taylor." The nephilim flicks her wings; the muffled snap of them is like an accusation. "Not that I care. My bed has not been empty. You stole my soldier, necromancer."
"People aren't property," you answer back, coldly.
Behind you, the succubus pulls her hands from the flames, and they are wreathed in hellfire.

>>48130322
>> BG Archive, what 5 games would you include and why?
I'd have to go with:
Twilight Imperium 3 with expansions (it fits both Space 4x and Grand Strategy - two of my favorite categories).
Stone Age (Light Euro, easy to teach and still a lot of fun.)
Archipelago (Hvy Euro - can very from moderate to long games with lots of social interaction and wheeling & dealing.)
OGRE (Simple war game and incredibly easy to teach while still having depth in the advanced scenarios - the Designer edition is dead-sexy too.)
7 Wonders (interesting use of card mechanics and surprisingly well balanced even at larger numbers of players.)
>> Board games with miniatures? (Yes, No, Only if I don't have to paint them...)
I don't mind minis. But if I have to paint all of my unpainted minis before I die, I'll live to be about 1000 years old at this rate.
>> What 'gaming itch' do you feel the market just doesn't have a good offering (or a desent selection) for yet? (Or is there a game you want but it isn't in your collection yet?)
Dexterity games and Sports / Racing board games seem to be a hard niche to design a good (i.e. fun and interesting) game for.
>> What do you use to transport your games in when traveling - be it the 'Shoebox of shame' (tm) or something fancier?
I've got a simple Wilson sports bag when I just want to take a couple of smaller games. I use a 'High Sierra' heavy duty duffle bag with a plastic base when I want to move larger games and or more of them at one time. It's similar to pic related...
> If you were involved in creating a "board game archive for the ages" to preserve and pass on board games, what 5 games would you include and why?
I'm too hostile to too many good games to be a good curator, but:
Twilight Imperium, for obvious reasons.
7 Wonders as a concession to euro and point engine games.
Cosmic Encounter as an example of very early (if flawed) Ameritrash design.
Twilight Struggle for 2p, or possibly Netrunner.
Mafia de Cuba for social deduction, a game that does quite well for having 0 random elements but still being driven by hidden information.
> Board games with miniatures? (Yes, No, Only if I don't have to paint them...)
Sure, I'm paint agnostic most of the time. More important that components be tactile and solid than well-painted.
> What 'gaming itch' do you feel the market just doesn't have a good offering (or a desent selection) for yet?
Maybe I'm just unimaginative, but most of my fetishes are pretty well catered to. I'd like to see more middleweight arena combat games in the vein of tannhauser, or just see that game resurrected.
> What do you use to transport your games in when traveling - be it the 'Shoebox of shame' (tm) or something fancier? (We had a good set of suggestions a while back and then I lost all my links...)
We did have a good set of suggestions a while back, and I picked up one of the cajon cases - it's worked fabulously so far, easily packing a ton of games securely.
> And of course you might as well flaunt it - what are you playing / have played recently? OP is in a no-gaming rut.
Was desperately hoping to get Mare Nostrum played this last weekend. No luck. A little King of Tokyo, some really great rounds of Mafia de Cuba, a pile of plays in Deception: Murder in Hong Kong, and a game of Sheriff of Nottingham, but nothing heavy. My frustration kindles.
>>48130923
>some really great rounds of Mafia de Cuba, a pile of plays in Deception: Murder in Hong Kong.
I'm not familiar with Mafia de Cuba, and I have Murder in Hong Kong on my 'want list' but haven't played it. If you want to describe either / both of these, that would be appreciated. :)

New shitty Magic promotional content when?
>>48243876
It's halfway through the day and it hasn't dropped yet. Its annoying.
>>48243916
WotC is on the west coast. It's not even noon there yet. They usually drop stuff at 2-3PM their time.
How in the absolute fuck do I limit magic in my system? I can create a system for magic succeeding or failing, but how do I define the limits of magic for characters so that they don't outshine other characters while still allowing them to have a "broad" ability?
To clarify, how do I allow creation as a magic ability and being able to make something out of nothing, but limit WITH MUH STATS AND NUMBERS that they can't create a new entire city out of the ground? Shows like FMA limit this by having the rule ofor equivalent exchange, but how the fuck do other settings do it?
BONUS QUESTION
True or false?
>all magic in any fantasy or setting can be broken down into : creation, destruction, augmentation, or divination.
It takes a lot of concentration and at some point the magic user just gets exhausted, with a chance of backfiring if he still uses magic.
>>48242228
But with numbers you have to decide when they get exhausted.
>>48242144
Limit it by the duration created objects last
or
Limit it by having expensive/rare material components required to insta-build out of magic
or
Limit it by having the process of creating something out of "nothing" being personally debilitating.
or
Limit it by having it cause undesirable effects on the environment.
