Pretty nasty. I just made a Clan Hunchie like that, 4/6 with max ferro, endo, ERMLs in the arms and an ERSL in the head, HAG/40 with 5 tons ammo, and an ECM and Light Active Probe.

Humbly requesting a drawing of Owen, mid 20's male, Caucasian Wilderness Scout Occupational Character Class from Rifts RPG. Basically a futuristic Ranger in a setting that is a post-apoc magic filled world of the supernatural with humanity on the brink against monsters., evil wizards and aliens from one thousand different worlds teleported to Earth via dimensional Rifts.

Hey /tg/, what are your thoughts on 15mm fantasy or sci fi games/miniatures? Worth getting into given their relative prices?
or is 6mm/10mm better for large battles and 25mm/28mm better for skirmish?

I'm on the fence about them despite owning a bunch of sci-fi stuff, it's very hard to convince anyone to actually use them. 6mm gets you more tanks, 28mm gets you... well it gets you the people who are weird about playing with anything smaller despite the advantages in cost (especially for terrain) and less storage space required.
Not helped by the state of the industry being a massive collection of garage operations with very few ranges being 'complete' and far, far too many generic armoured humans and vehicles that look less sci-fi than shit that is actually in service.
That said, there are some gems, and some great systems. 15mm makes for some great skirmish games up to company level games for anything involving shooting because there's far more space on the table to use. It's easier to make full sets of terrain for so battlefields can look far more complete for far less time and money than the equivalent in 28mm.
I think 20mm if it were popular would be ideal for the platoon sized skirmish stuff though. Works very well for 20th century+ historicals due to all the support available in scale model kits and die-cast vehicles.

The big problem with 15mm is lack of widespread, high-polish "deal". 10mm has Dropzone Commander, 28mm has a myriad games, 15mm has a whole bunch of unassociated lines with some generic rules that are often (not always!) very old-style in their presentation.

I'm looking to run a game for a few of my friends but unfortunately I don't really have the money to start ordering figures. I know that cheap alternatives to minis exist (I was actually looking into gluing pictures of monsters on metal washers) but if I can run the game just with spoken word that would work out great. Dice rolls would still be happening but without a battlemap. Do you have any advice on running a game with just descriptions of events or cheap alternatives to Minis/Battlemaps?

I have never used a battlemap nor minis actually. If it's a combat heavy situation I just make a sketch in a piece of paper. But it was in DH and VTM, maybe it's harder for D&D.

I just printed pictures onto note cards using this design, cut them out, folded and glued them with a coin glued to the inside of the base for weight. (Sorry for the picture for ants, but I'm not sure which hard drive my files are on, and only the thumbnail is saved in the archive.) Need help with my campaign /tg/, I might have made a mistake here as a GM.
See the plot I have has the players land on an agriworld about to rebel against the big empire, now the empire has sent of their mighty asskickers to fight some other rebels elsewhere leaving only a rundown Planetary defense force to watch over the planet.
The rebels will have to hold for 40 days before help arrives and of course the loyal defense force plans on destroying the upstart rebels ASAP.
Story wise everything is fine: The players assist in the rebellion and so on. As a developement...

I'm not entirely sure on a few things. The players arrive on the world, but what reason do they have to help the rebellion?
The way I see it, if they have motivation to go after the established government themselves, the rebels will hear about their actions and try to contact them to work together.
