Hey, guys, no quest thread today, some personal shit came up today.
Instead I'll put up this Q and A thread, and we can sort out some of the stuff for next thread as well as discuss what we want out of the quest in the future.
>>43457406
What is everyone looking forward to the most?
>>43457444
Fucking trips, compelling me.
I'm mostly curious about how time affects xenomorphs here.
Canonically, crazy shit comes from a xenomorph living a long time apparently.
Do the xenomorphs have the potential on an individual level to evolve into more advanced organisms automatically?
Will we see random unbidden mutation over time?
Will we ever have an obligatory beach episode!?
>>43457514
Funny how you mention beach episode.
If you guys ever manage to take the Colonial Ship, I have a plot hook that will lead you guys to a space station owned by a subsidiary of Weyland-Yutani, Nanotrasen.
One of the old stations maps on SS13 had an artificial beach.
>Do the xenomorphs have the potential on an individual level to evolve into more advanced organisms automatically?
Autmatically, no. But I am working on tech/level tree that will allow you guys to mutate/enhance/evolve your PC Xenos as they increase in age and strength, hell, Dildo is a Drone Commander, as he is your most seasoned Xenomorph, excluding Spooky.
Favorite basic lands.

What do you jibronis think of this boss I'm going to be throwing at my party of 6 level 5s? Is this dude unbalanced? Is he balanced?
5th edition, obviously.
Also...homebrew monsters in general.
I like him, but I don't think he's tough enough for a 6 person party at level 5. They'll mow him down in 3 turns or less.

Not commander material. If it was bolt on a stick it would be a lot better.
First for thank fucking christ the old thread was nothing but bullshit. Time to wait around for this one to devolve into the same thing.
I plan on running a Pokémon game for a few friends, but find myself running short on ideas and art for trainers and their pokémon. Do you all have any ideas/images I could use for inspiration?
Is this shit allowed on /tg/?
>>43456886
my fallback fanfic-y poke character is a Ruins Maniac named Archie who uses Unown, Baltoy, Nosepass, Bronzor, Sigilyph and Yamask lines. Sometimes he has a brother named Leo who uses all fossil pokemon.
I played a pokemon RP once a loooong time ago where my character was a surfer chick who used a Starmie as a board.
Unfortunately it never really ended up going anywhere.
So what's your default class/archetype /tg/? What character do automatically go to in TTRPGs when you're out of ideas.
Mine personally is the Warlock. Not sure why.

Rogue... always always Rogue. I like having a million options for handing situations (without having to resort to magic) and being able to flex my creative thinking skills.
>>43456519
Fighter. 'Cause I can play a sneaky Fighter, a sturdy Fighter, a shooty Fighter, a choppy Fighter, a tanky Fighter, a quick Fighter, a magicky Fighter or any combination of the above. They're the broadest and most open-ended class in many games and I have had some of my best times with Fighters. Love being able don a fullplate and wield a two-handed sword and also sneak with the roguish types and shank motherfuckers when needed, while also being the tough survivor who knows how to handle shit.

Anything clever. It might not be the strongest thing around, but if it has a lot of bits that I can find interesting ways to use, I love it. Spellcasters in Pathfinder are always a good option, since they're built on bits, but I usually like the 3/4 casters the most, since they tend to combine spell bits with interesting class bits. I'm currently in love with the Alchemist and Investigator... I'd love to get my hands on a gestalt game so I could run the ultimate potion-drinker.
Most heartbreaking thing your DM has said?
>Army of enemy nation advancing on village
>We fucked up negotiations REAL bad
>Enemy general will let us live if the village surrenders
>Fucktard leader thinks we can hold them off
>Gets himself, 2 other party members, and a lot of the villagers killed
>Enemy general has a sense of mercy
>Gives us a day of ceasefire to bury our dead and recover.
>My guy volunteers to help clear town of bodies
>The DM said something that really stuck with me:
"As you heave the bodies of both young and old alike, you look around. You see fathers burying their sons and daughters, wives and mothers weeping, and the dead and dying piled everywhere. You lift the body of a boy on top of the heap, knowing the weight you lift is nothing compared to the burden you carry in your heart."

>Old men and women are dead, as well as craftsmen and professional people; tailors, shoemakers, tinsmiths, jewellers, house painters, ironmongers, bookbinders, workers, freight handlers, millers, bakers and cooks; also dead are physicians, prosthesists, surgeons, gynaecologists, scientists - bacteriologists, biochemists, directors of university clinics, teachers of history, algebra, trigonometry. Dead are professors, lecturers and doctors of science, engineers and architects. Dead are agronomists, field workers, accountants, clerks, shop assistants, supply agents, secretaries, nightwatchmen, dead are teachers, dead are babushkas who could knit stockings and make tasty buns, cook bouillon and make strudel with apples and nuts, dead are women who had been faithful to their husbands and frivolous women are dead, too, beautiful girls, and learned students and cheerful schoolgirls, dead are ugly and silly girls, women with hunches, dead are singers, dead are blind and deaf mutes, dead are violinists and pianists, dead are two-year olds and three year olds, dead are eighty year old men and women with cataracts on hazy eyes, with cold and transparent fingers and hair that rustled quietly like white paper, dead are newly born babies who had sucked their mothers breasts greedily until their last minute.

This was playing in my head the entire time he was describing the aftermath.
A sociological discussion guys.
In my setting, monstergirls (I call them Leanan sídhe) reproduce by having sex with men. When a monstergirl have a baby: 50% will be monstergirls, 50% will be humans. Half the human babies will be boys, the other half will be girls.
In short monstergirls give birth to: 50% monstergirls, 25% girls, 25% boys.
This create a long term gender imbalance where there are much more women than men in that society.
There are two consequences that I can think off:
Since there are more women than men: polygyny will be widespread and women's in society role will be less limited.
However, I'm sure where would me many others societal consequences beyond this two.
So guys, what do you think a setting where women naturally outnumber men would plays out?
I think you need to grow up a little.
>>43456264
Why are we assuming the vast majority of men are screwing monsters?
How and why did young societies deal with the burden of having more mouths to feed with less hard workers?
How did those early agricultural societies develope and how did they rise and fall?
Would a society where men significantly out number women due to naturally more powerful monstermen not just destroy these mostly women societies and create an equilibrium through the conquered peoples?
>>43456264
>So guys, what do you think a setting where women naturally outnumber men would plays out?
I think monstergirls giving birth to normal humans is retarded.
Describe your sex life in Yu Gi Oh cards.
Don't have Yugioh cards, but plenty of Magic.
Explain to me how this won't end in a draw every time first.

Your move, /tg/
So BMJ dropped some new stuff a few days ago, we should have had enough time by now to make slightly more informed opinions.

GOT YOU, BRO.

I think some of the Stepping Stones could use some work, and ranged Branches could use a middle ground between the snipers and the sprayers without completely ignoring that you use guns.
Man this thing is dead as shit.
It'd probably help if we got someone to run the game other than that goddamn flake.hell I'll do it myself if I must
>>43456521
'that goddamn flake'?
>>43456636
Some guy who's been trying to run AdEva for ages but never makes it past the second session when he gets a group. People believe he does it on purpose so there's an effort to single him out every time he posts on gamefinder, so people don't get trolled by him.
It's annoying because no one can look for an AdEva game without running into him or the neighborhood watch.
The party are the Ghost in the shell team
The world is cyberpunk future
A Japanese mega corporate empire rules humanity. Beyond the walls are wasteland, mutants and chaos
The party fights against anarchy and terrorism. Time and again they are the dagger in the night. They climb the black roots to the peak of a conspiracy.
They have encountered enemies insidious and far reaching. An Organization that sows chaos, mortal crime ruling the downtrodden, and now...The supernatural.
In this far future, man may soon be destroyed by the great pens of the old ones. Mind flayers seek the subjugation of our lesser species, and have begun to move to their end game.
How best would you work the elder power to the destruction of man?
Tear down his cities? Burn the world? Warp the flesh of the weak and feast upon their minds?
>>43455497
Literally 'knowledge which man was not meant to know'.
A memetic magi-virus turning all the people into prayer terminals for the elder power's gods.
>>43455455
Ghost of Cthuhlu interesting idea.
I am planning a character, his shtick is that he is secretly incarnation of Elder Evil, along with being a frenzing and raging berserker in combat. Not necessirely bulky, he's actually fast.
Thing is, he becomes more monstrous as his rage and frenzy grow and he loses himself.
Please, post any art of abominations, humanoid or otherwise, that would work for this concept. Or just humanoid or so abomination pics in general.
Pic related
>>43455469
>>43455442
Also, his base form is albino humanoid. And by albino I mean, holy fuck his skin is whiter than snow, kind of white
Secretly ebil character seems a little snowflakey, secretly the incarnation of an elder evil even more so, regardless, it actually seems like a possibly cool thing if done correctly, I like the idea of them physically deforming as they fight. Just try to avoid the sort of "let me unleash my TRUE form" which might come of that.
Must the spice really flow?
Yes it must

Yes, the spice extends life, the spice expands consciousness.
Looking for monks for an upcoming game, both the expected kind, and less eastern influenced. Help appreciated.
